Great Hotel! The hotel has a 24-hour reception which is very handy if you have a late or early flight and still want to check in/out. In China they mostly speak little to no English so everything is done via a translation app also at the airport. Outside of the airport taxi's were waiting, it took me 13 minutes from the airport to the hotel for just 20MBT (€2.55). With me, the ATMs at the airport were closed at night and you can't pay by card in taxis. So do make sure you either withdraw cash here or have euros or other currency with you to exchange money (I did this at a stent for mobile data at the airport arrival). The hotel itself was very good. The bed was comfortable, the rooms were clean and very spacious. The staff were also very friendly, I was helped very well and kindly by the breakfast assistant Li Hongying, and the rest of the team. Breakfast was very tasty and extensive with western but also Chinese dishes to choose from. All in all, a good choice to choose this hotel for an overnight transfer for example.

Staff were exceptionally helpful despite language barrier, from the front desk ladies helping me pay and order for taxi to and from airport and the breakfast server Li hongying ensured I had a enjoyable breakfast serving up my plate and showing me around the buffet.

1. Somehow a mosquito entered into the room at night, and disturbed my sleep throughout the night. Strange, with all the windows and door closed. Perhaps mosquito repellant should be provided by the hotel for guest use. 2. The smell of smoke is apparent as soon as I left the room and walked into the corridor, and the lift as well. Would have preferred a non-smoking hotel, where guests are not allowed to smoke in common areas.

Good breakfast spread - plenty of options for vegetarians. The size of the room is huge - with a separate sitting room and tea table included! Bed is large and comfortable. Bathroom is clean with toiletries provided.

Staff wasnt friendly or helpful. One of them completely ignored us, the other spoke Chinese when we clearly tried to speak to them in English. The hotel wasnt near the airport so the cab ride was also longer than expected.

Hotel is not that close of the airport as it's said on booking. It's 15min by taxi far away. The address is wrong! So guys take care about it. Hotel is clean, nice rooms, brekfast.

I could not understand how to turn the TV on. Also, I think that they can improve the starting time of the breakfast. We needed to leave very early, so we went to the breakfast at 6 am, and the staff was still preparing things; however, as soon they understood there were customers, they tried to serve us as fast as possible.

The staff was really nice and helpful. We arrived a bit late, and the restaurant was already closed; in the surroundings, there was no place to grab some food. However, the staff, June Wang and Su, helped us to order food from outside, and they delivered it to the hotel. If they had not helped us, we couldn't have dinner that day. We could go to rest in the bedroom, and later on, the service robot came to deliver the food. The hotel room was very comfortable and with all of the amenities.

To be honest, we were only there for a night, and we would not like to comment on this, but yes you get what you pay for.

My partner and I checked in to this hotel as we had a layover at Xiamen for a night. We didn't choose any other hotels as this is one of the closest hotels to Xiamen Gaoqi airport. We like the hotel as it provided us with the much needed functionality for just 1 night and we did not want to be late for our flight to Taiwan.

The location is just amazing! The water side is just a few meters away, you can easily walk, jog, or run along the water side. The airport is also very nearby. I visited many areas in the city for work, and this location was just perfect. After the day's work, it is best to come to this location and relax. The gym is very good compared to many other hotels. The breakfast spread is also very good.

Food facilities in the evening, and a bar, even a vending machine or something similar would be useful.

Standard type stay at a holiday Inn. Fine for an overnight trip, probably wouldn't stay longer than a night for a transfer.
