Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Amazing location right on Copacabana with free towels, chairs and umbrellas provided. Lovely terrace on the roof with views across the whole beach to Sugarloaf. Staff really friendly and accomodating, and bed and room were all great.

ChileSince it is in front of Copacabana beach expect some music and street noice during the night, although the windows soundproofing was great at mitigating this. The pool is small and can get crowded.
The Hotel is conveniently located at the far end of Copacabana beach, making it a great place to explore the city since you are close to all major attractions and you can walk from the hotel to Copacabana and Ipanema beach. The hotel although not new looks renovated and up to date. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a great view to Copacabana beach and Sugar Loaf. The staff of the hotel was really kind and helpful. Checkin and out was a breeze. This hotel his great to explore Rio.

excellent location and the staff were very informative. The breakfast had a lot of choice including sparkling wine. A bonus was free fruit in the room, a large bottle of water free each day and free beach chairs and umbrellas throughout the stay.

The hotel is very well situated on the beach and it is easy to walk along the front or walk to Ipanema. There is a supermarket just around the corner. The beds and , in particular the pillows, are very comfortable indeed The restaurant food was very good, just a bit on the pricey side. Unusually there were no bedside lamps for reading.

The hotel was exceptional in every respect. From the moment I arrived and was offered a sparkling wine as I checked in, to the moment I left. The rooms were fantastic, the place was spotlessly clean, the rooftop bar and pool is amazing - sunsets up there were something else - the breakfast and food in general was very good, and the staff incredibly polite and attentive. A special mention to Joao Victor on reception and Antonio at the rooftop bar - two absolute superstars and a credit to the hotel. I plan to return to Rio one day soon and already know I will stay at the Miramar.
