Wonderful property. Great location, excellent cleanliness, value for the money was beyond. Eric, the manager, is so personable and so accommodating, he made the entire stay a real pleasure.

The rooms are ran down, very small and lacking air circulation. I was constantly bumping into the furniture. But its super fair for the price and I would go back anyways.

the staff and location are superb! they really make me feel at home, I got to know everyone by name, including other guests. The staff was also extremely helpful helping be buying a bus ticket online in time to escape a storm. obrigado!!!

The shared kitchen is outside the building, so it was very dark at night and the kitchen utensils were exposed to insects and other animals. Maybe it just need a cabinet and better lighting. The ac in our room was also a bit old and was a bit too loud.

The breakfast was incredible, everyday they offered two types of cake, fruits, juice, bread and many other things. The staff was uper friendly and helpful. The room was ok and the location was very convenient for anyone arriving or going by bus.

The city is like a paradise, inhabited by people who are kind to tourists like angels. The most beautiful thing in the city is the Pausada Casa do Rio Hostel.

Everything is beautiful. We start with the hostel manager, who is fluent in the English language, good hospitality, and puts in effort to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of the guests in the hostel. Cleanliness is the most important of all, the location on the bank of the canal.

Whoever is looking for paradise on earth, the place is the city of Praty and the address is Pousada Casa do Rio Hostel.

Great hostel. Bedrooms a little tight but fine, en suite bathroom the room was great. Breakfast included was very nice, good selection. Any information or requests that you have Eric and the guys on the reception will help you the best that they can and that's what makes a great hostel. I would come back here again for sure. Many thanks to everybody at the hostel

A super nice hostel with the best breakfast I’ve ever got in a hostel to be honest. A lot of food and many different things. Wifi worked always good. Eric from the reception was super helpful to organize my trip after Paraty and to find a tour during my stay. He was super friendly and spoke very well English (which is not often to find in Brazil ;))

The room didn't have a locker but I felt okay about this as there seemed to be good security in the hostel and everything felt very safe

Amazing breakfast and the outside communal areas were lovely, especially the small pool and seating by the river. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The location is also fantastic just 5 minutes walk from the bus station and a few mins from the old town, but also only 10-15 mins from the beach!

In the male dorm, it's gets pretty loud right outside the room from around 8am. The shared kitchen outside was pretty dirty, I usually like to cook but I didn't bother with this one. Shower wasn't hot. 1 multi-use bathroom shared within 6, so could be waiting a bit. Not all beds have plug sockets

The female dorm room is too small and there is no natural light. one window is permanently shut so poor ventilation.

The location is perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful. specially Erik is so kind and was willing to go out of his way to be helpful. and the girl working in reception, I don’t recall her name is also very sweet even though she spoke very little English . They also arranged for a boat ride and Jeep tour at a very fair price . Thank you Erik and staff

this hostel is quiet and peaceful and may not be suited to a solo traveller looking to mingle.

I had food poisoning during my stay here and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful with organising a private room for me! this hostel is perfect if you want a nice and relaxed stay. the breakfast is also great
