There is no soap in the bathroom for washing your hands. I’ve never had this and thought it’s very strange. Apparently it’s normal for this hostel though. So anytime you want to use the bathroom you have to bring your own soap. Beds don’t have enough privacy or charging points.

Beautiful, calm and clean place. The location is perfect - close to the bus station and to the old town. The breakfast is good!

Superb location: close to the bus terminal and the city centre. The hostel is clean (shout out to the cleanliness of the toilets and shower!), and the staff is friendly, polite and helpful - they recommended places to go and things to do. The beds were ok, but that was fine since I was there only at night to sleep. Breakfast was simple but enough. The Wi-Fi was quite unstable sometimes, but it worked when I needed it (however, if you are looking to work using their network, you might want to have a plan B for the connection). Things to note based on the time I stayed there (this wasn't a problem for me, as I found an alternative, but depending on your need, you might consider it): * when you check out, if you need to leave your luggage at the hostel, that is paid. * bring your towel (or you'll need to rent it) Other than that, I had an enjoyable stay and even made friends - I recommend the hostel.

A few very minor details, there is no toaster or microwave, it would have been great to have a fan in the room for during the daytime but really this is a great hostel in a perfect location

The host is just great, the garden is lovely, the female shared dorm is very large and clean, they even have a washing machine, a good breakfast is included, great security, a very good deal for the price, I met some great travelers, very quaint town.

There are plenty of wifi options set up but the actual connectivity is unreliable. No issues otherwise.

This is a great option in Paraty. Really friendly and helpful staff - there was someone snoring loudly in my room and they were flexible enough to let me change rooms for the rest of my stay. Extremely clean, quiet (depending on other guests) and well located. The 8-bed dorm upstairs is lovely, plenty of natural light and very peaceful. I extended a few days here and would stay again.

The room we were in could've had a bit better storage/been a bit bigger , and had individual plugs/lights but we made it work. It'd be nice if they had a dryer.

The shared spaces were just beautiful and calm. Loved the yellow. Loved the hammocks. Loved the monkeys in the trees and the cat. The staff were lovely, Tai especially. I liked that it was just women. Good aircon in the room and loved that there was no time limit to it. Great location. Good to have extra bathrooms aside from the shared room ensuite. Having had top bunks for ages it was nice that they weren't so tall and felt sturdy.

The location is perfect! It is on the main restaurant street, but just enough away to avoid any noise. It is also halfway between the beach and the pier for the must-do schooner trip. The staff is so friendly. The breakfast is simple but good. As a solo female traveler, I wouldn't book anywhere else.

No chair or table to leave stuff in the room, only beds and the floor. And I don't like leaving my backpack on the floor... No sockets next to the upper beds.

Nice calm green area with hammocks and many sitting areas, there's an extra bathroom besides the ones in the dormitories.

The shared room was a little crowded, the bunks quite low, and the bedding a little cold - I visited in winter, and was offered a blanket but needed a little more. The shared room has a big, clean bathroom, but the water was not very hot and it could have been better looked after - then again, it was so busy due to the popular Jazz festival of Paraty, so it might be different at quieter times.

The garden is so beautiful, with comfortable hammocks, great breakfast and a lovely community energy with other guests. There are external bathrooms available in case the one in the shared room is busy, which was useful! Full of great facilities also to wash clothes, hairdryers, lockers, all night porters, very secure and all you need.

The wifi didn't reach my dorm room. The last few days the wifi barely worked at all - even in the common areas. When I approached the receptionist about it, he wouldnt even look at me, was super rude and told me it wasnt his problem and he didn't care. very disappointed in how I was treated. And btw, the wifi was still not working when I left.

Overall this is a good hostel. Spacious rooms with bathrooms, full kitchen, outdoor common area. my stay here started out well and then went sour the last few days

When I was there (July), there were rarely any guests during the week which made socialising a bit hard. The hostel is rather rustic and simple, it got quite cold during the night and there were rather a lot of mosquitoes even it was winter time.

Cozy property with lovely outdoor area and centrally located within Paraty. Staff is nice and welcoming and cleans well. There is a basic breakfast. I enjoyed the hammocks.

The Breakfast is not complete.. eggs where missing a also variety of fruit will be better The closet out of the room is not convenient .. The towels cost extra money and they don't say that before arrival...should be mentioned before

the plugs didn't all work, only one plug in the room, one in the bathroom to use, no lamps for bedside so whenever someone came home late, they had to turn on the big light
