Well there was a lot of mosquitoes inside the hostel, so it was hard to chill out at night in the common zones. Also the humidity was crazy - many things smelled bad because of it.

It's a tranquil hostel with friendly staff and owner. The ac was really good at night but it's good to have some more blanket for cold. Entrance with the code system Kitchen

The owner puts very loud music and only turned down the volume at 11pm because I went to the patio to complain. Also the shared kitchen was dirty.

The Staff was unenthusiastic and the English was very basic, not all of them, but one person was particularly unfriendly, without any reason.

The female dorm is very small so when full (6 girls), it’s very hard to move. Limited lockers and some you couldn’t use cuz they were broken. Sheets were clean, but didn’t smell clean. There’s a lot of volunteers who just play loud music and don’t do much, kitchen could use with a little paint over, it would look cleaner and feel better.

The place has a nice pool, is very spacious when it comes to the common areas. It’s located in a quiet street close to the historical town. I liked my stay there and would come again.

The whole area is very moist, very humid, thus the room was too. However, it had two fans and AC, so they tried everything they could.

Most of the staf didn't or barely spook English. I also wanted to do the kajak tour which was suggested for 85 reais but when I informed the price went up to 110 and when I booked only the one of 135 was available. I don't know if this is the hostel or there partner but it was very unfortunate. At the end of the day the kajak owner did not respond and I didn't do the kajakking at all.

The accomodations were very simple, so you have to know what you're getting into. There's a chance your bedroom may smell like your hostel mates. You may be woken up by a drunk guy. Pro tip for non-Brazilians: when you turn the shower on, it seems leke you'll have a lukewarm shower. But turn the knob halfway off so there's less water coming out, and you can have a very hot shower. This is because the water is heated by warming up the pipe just before the water comes out. So less water means more heat.

Mariano and Lola were welcoming, helpful, and fun. The other guests at the hostel were amazing. This is a unique and wonderful part of the world because of the beauty of the ocean, jungle, waterfalls, and the good array of bars, restaurants, and shops. The two things that made our vacation were the people we met, and the location, and this hostel was the perfect catalyst.

The beds are like sleeping on the ground, super stiff and uncomfortable. The sheets are so old and torn down that just looks bad overall. Even if it is clean, it doesn't feel like it is.

The vibe, the volunteers and the common area are nice.

The beds sheets were very old, ripped and very used (thin). Toilet was not clean and broken. Also two incidences: first they offered washing service and the next morning when we was supposed to get the clean clothes, they told us the machine is broken ( they could have told it the night before, we needed them for the hike that day. Second the owner was accusing me taking his beer that I just bought before and left a minute on the counter.
