Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaExceptionally bad food in their restaurant- to the extent of being inedible. Whoever is their cook is basically trashing the ingredients- most people just leave the food on plate and go elsewhere. Do not waste your money going to their restaurant.

PortugalIt's not hotel's fault but you need to be careful while waiting for you taxi/transport outside the hotel, wait inside, there were some incidents during my stay, anyway it is São Paulo and you need to be careful everywhere.
Location, location, location. Did I mention the great location? You will find everything you need in the surroundings, transport, mall, stores, restaurants and everything else. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was compact as you can expect of a Ibis Budget but very functional, with everything you need. The breakfast was good with a good variety of products. I enjoyed my stay there and I would return.

SerbiaStaff doesn't speak English at all. This is unacceptable for an Ibis hotel in the center of São Paulo. Rooms are very basic and you don't get the following (that you'd get even in a cheap pousada) : * hand towel * shampoo or shower gel (you get only small soap) * glass * bottle of water (you can buy it at reception for 2.5 USD but don't do that, there is a Carrefour next to the hotel where you can get 6 for 2 USD) * mini fridge

BrazilBathroom & restroom sizes, too small. Bathroom door has a bad project, it leaks water into bedroom. Breakfast is expensive for what it offers, prefer to buy at Padaria Bella Paulista, two blocks away, the best breakfast buffet you've ever eaten for a few reais more.
Location is good, near subway station, buses, movie theater, good restaurants, museums. Great for tourists. I’m not a tourist, I used the hotel just to sleep.

CanadaThe room I booked was tiny. My fault because I wanted to save money. The economy room doesn’t have a fridge nor an iron. They offer an ironing room on the first floor, very clean and organized. I guess I didn’t pay attention to the details.
Front desk staff is amazing! Actually all staff is amazing! No complains at all. Breakfast is really good, lots of variety. I’d like to congratulate especially Kaysilany and Patrick at the front desk.
