Hard to think of something I did not like, but the AC was too hot at night. I’m sure I could have gone to reception and asked for it to be lowered, but I was lazy to leave my top bunk and walk down two flights of stairs in the middle of the night. The hill up and down is a bit of a workout but is short enough to still warrant staying here.

It is beautiful! A very welcome boutique style hostel in Rio with exceptionally comfortable beds, and very nice facilities. The hostel has a very cool location in a favela community called babilonia, on top of leme in copacabana, and is a very cool place to stay. The locals in the neighborhood are very friendly and overall it’s a cool experience to stay there. The bathrooms are good and clean. There is a nice rooftop for socializing and has a great view. On-site gym for a quick workout. Water refills…multiple kitchens…what is there not to like? I would definitely stay here again!

Everything from the volunteers to the styling to the details like the coworking space is designed to make this property the best possible stay in Rio, especially for folks who are juggling online work and travel. The owners Thibaut and Marielle are lovely, I’m glad to now count them as friends. As are Gugu and Adriel and the three minions — everyday faces at the hostel.

I extended my stay here. Good location for exploring all parts of Rio. Safe and secure in the hostel. I had no issues walking to/from the seafront as a single female day or night. Highly recommended.

Cleaning in the dorms can be hit and miss but the shared bathrooms are always in good order.

This was my second stay here - I chose the female dorm rather than the deluxe dorm this time. Good atmosphere, owners are very friendly. Great roof terrace and wifi works well throughout the hostel. I would stay there again.

The ladies dormitory in the ground floor was just next to the reception and sometimes it got really loud in there which disturbed my sleep a little.

I liked everything about this hostel. It was my first ever hostel experience and it was pure perfection. I was a bit skeptical at first but this place turned my opinion around 360! Staff was super helpful and friendly, gave so many good travelling tips. I met so many traveller's from around the world and the atmosphere was just so chill and nice. Breakfast was delicious.

Going up the hill is exhausting. Not all Ubers accept to drop you off at the hostel.

Beautiful hostel, very clean. Terrasse on rooftop. Very social vibes. Well organised. In a safe area of rio and next to copacabana. One of the best hostels I have stayed in! I had an emergency situation that made me change my booking and the owner Thibeau was very comprehensive and helped me a lot to sort everything out. Thank you so much! Some volunteers had zero knowledge of local things to do, one girl in particular was pretty rude. Same for the volunteers that sorted breakfast, miserable and rude - I didn't bother with breakfast after the first 2 days. Manger your expectations about the location. It is 'safe' but not particularly pleasant. Lots of garbage, continuous traffic up and down the hill - be careful of the guys coasting downhill as you can't hear them. Footpath was unusable when I was there due to the weather and wet garbage everywhere.

I stayed on the top floor where the dorms are a little different. The bedspace was excellent, really comfortable and private. Large locker for storage (however, it's awkward to use). Plug/light and even a fan (this barely made a difference to the temperature but it did provide some white noise for the inevitable people snoring). Some staff members were great. Location is ok, safe to walk down to the beach. No issues walking to Sugar Loaf and Christ Redeemer, both well marked paths. I extended my stay and would stay again.

I couldn’t get into the safe, despite asking for help this was not addressed. This was not a problem as there was a lockable locker but the safe would have been more convenient.

Staff were very friendly and always helpful, the vibe was relaxed, social without being party heavy! The location is close to lots of amenities. The view is lovely and breakfast was good.
