● We did experience a few service hiccups, including: - Not being offered tea/coffee after our first breakfast. Service just seemed to not be available on the second and third morning. I'm not too sure why. I enjoyed the masala chai tea and made a point of letting the team know this on the only day we were offered a beverage. This aside, there were juice options, which were all fine by me, so I wasn't really too fussed. - We had to phone downstairs again when we weren't provided the water bottles we requested a day earlier (6 x 1.5lt bottles for only 10 dirham). We opened the door to a gentleman holding some dinner plates. We laughed this off and put the miscommunication down to our strange accents. The water was quickly supplied thereafter. - We had a lot of luggage with us, and I wanted to make sure we booked an adequate vehicle for our early morning ride to DXB. The day before check out I tried to tee this up with the gentlemen in the front office, but I think my service expectations may have been a little bit 'off' as they shrugged off my request for them to book - or even just recommend - a suitable taxi company. I guess all I was looking for here was a "we recommend you try company 'x' if you need a lot of luggage space" or "this company has a luggage trailer" etc.

● We really, really appreciated the approval of our request via Booking.com to check in early. We had just flown in overnight, and to have quick access (only a 15-minute wait) to a room mid-morning was a huge help to our very tired family. We acknowledge that this request is based on availability on the day, but it seems like they went above & beyond to ready a room for us or at the very least, shuffle things around to accommodate our early arrival. Extremely grateful for that - a great first impression. ● The rooftop pool was a big hit with our girls, and this became a daily routine each morning during our 4 night stay. Thank you to the gentleman up there who looked after the area and made sure we all had towels. ● The gym was fit for purpose, although one treadmill was in need of attention as the tread tension kept slipping (the one facing the door.) ● For a change, we wanted to be based in Bur Dubai. This area and over the Creek in Deira is the "real" Dubai. It has character, its lively, busy, loud and is way more economical than the likes of Business Bay, Marina etc. in terms of accommodation, eateries, and supermarkets. It has enough going for it that you could easily skip out the glitzy parts of town/malls etc and still feel like you experienced Dubai. The place doesn't sleep, so get out there and go for a walk around the streets and get a real feel for the place. ● We felt overall the room was good value, clean and comfortable - with everything you needed if you want to cook your own meals. If you're not fussed on views and are price-driven, this is a good option.

The bed was a little too soft for me. Apart from that nothing as such.

Superb location. Lots of restaurants and eateries around. Finding great Indian food won't be a problem. The breakfast spread is super delicious, especially if you eat eggs. You get a small kitchen and 2-3 big supermarkets within 50-100 meters. It comes very handy to small meals for kids, if required. The room also comes with a washing machine which is very useful. Finding cabs to this location is never a problem. You also get free bus service from nearby Savoy chain of hotels to various places like dubai outlet mall and all. Though these services run on a fixed schedule.

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant mostly because of the staff. The housekeeping does an excellent job at cleaning the room, making it so nice after we came back after a long day and laying on a very clean bed. At night we were helped by Nagaraj and Alfred who work at the reception, who informed us a lot about the local area and where to go in the city itself. Both very helpfull and nice to talk to.

24/7, the hotel has hot water only. They should also have cold water, as the weather in Dubai is very hot. Previously, we stayed in other hotels in Dubai; they had cold and hot water. Savoy should do something about it.

At first we arrived to the wrong Savoy hotel, the man in the desk gave us a cold drink and ordered a car for us (free of charge) to our hotel. very friendly staff , great pool and sauna and good morning breakfeast. it was very nice overall
