- “The holiday home is just gorgeous! I felt being welcomed by family. Roula and Nick are such excellent hosts. Our flights arrived late and they waited for us to arrive to hand over the keys. The house is so tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Roula and Nick were very friendly and looked after us like family. They also arranged a taxi service for us. We met Poppi who was just delightful and helpful us to explore bit more of the island. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to escape to a place that is far from the maddening crowd.”

We arrived late and were tired but the guy on staff told us that we should go out and explore Hadrians Gate and Old town at night and we are so glad that we did! Was a really cool vibe - would recommend exploring at night - this was at 11pm! Bed was comfy and the space was perfect to spent a night or two in as a stopover. Location and value for money are hard to beat. We were able to park our hire car directly outside the front of the hotel which was awesome. Staff were great and very helpful. We would stay here again.”

  On entering the building your could tell everything was newly refurbished, chairs in reception and bar area we're extremely comfortable and brand new. We had a sea view room(16) and everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was exceptionally comfortable(best night's sleep in quite some time) the two arm chairs in the window bay were also extremely comfortable we could of stayed in them all day just looking at the stunning views. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. We decided not to have breakfast on this occasion opting for a lie in instead. There is a free private car park at the rear and the hotel is ideally situated and not far from the town centre We would highly recommend The Central and will most definitely going back in the near future. We look forward in seeing what they have done to their new hotel next door too.

  All our meals were very good, the chef has to be thanked for our breakfasts and evening meals. The atmosphere was nice and it was obvious that people who ate there were regulars which is always a good sign. There were many families with children and dogs. All members of staff were friendly and accommodating, a big hello goes to Harper the friendly pub dog who made us feel very welcome every morning!

  It would have been nice as residents to have our tea and coffee included in our breakfast menu. The cost of them added quite a bit to the cost of breakfast.

  Received a warm greeting on arrival, advised we could check in early. Bedding and bathrooms were clean. Good range of tea/coffee in the room and complimentary biscuits which was nice :)

  The carpet in the room was sloppily vacuumed, corners had dust and crumb build up. Suspicious brown splash up the wall to the ceiling. Soap dispenser broken beyond use. Generally tired looking but for the price paid couldn't really complain.
