  The hotel is pleasant but dated. The roooms were clean but definitely not spotless. The staff however, went above and beyond. As it was Ramadan during my stay, and I paid for a room with breakfast, i needed to have breakfast at 4am (before usual breakfast time), the night staff kindly gave me a small continental breakfast at 4am. This was really above and beyond and I am very appreciative especially of the night staff.

  The room was comfortable. The breakfast was just lovely, but the restaurant was just amazing. This was a good base to explore Canterbury itself and surrounding areas. The staff were friendly and helpful.
