The rooms are nice and modern with cosy touches. As they're above a bar I was expecting noise but to be honest I didn't hear anything! The doors to the rooms themselves do let noise through so just be mindful of that, but everything met expectations and really good value for money.

As mentioned, the doors to the rooms themselves aren't very well sound proofed, so you can hear other people coming and going - nothing too loud and it didn't bother me or give me any sleep issues, but if you're a very light sleeper maybe some earplugs would be recommended.

In the morning I didn't have any hot water in the bathroom. It wasn't the end of the world for me but it was an annoyance. I did let reception know about it when I checked out though.

They put a £100 hold on my card that still hasn’t been returned nearly a week later. Seeing as we didn’t use anything from the mini bar or room service I feel like the money should have been returned quicker.

The reception staff were quite unhelpful to a member of my party that had booked twice, once through booking.com and once through the hotel direct. I believe they cancelled both bookings because the card details he gave was not 100% correct. He realised this when he booked through booking.com and had cancelled this and then telephoned the hotel direct. He arrived at reception and when he show them the booking they said "sorry this has been cancelled" and walked away from him. My friend has Dementia and this did not help with his situation.
