The country houses of the Imperial Court Mandarins were the “garden houses”. This outstanding hotel is an elegant conversion of one of those. Furnished with taste and respect for tradition, surrounded by a spectacular garden, is managed by a professional, courteous and helpful staff, careful to anticipate every need. They granted me an unexpected upgrade to a luxurious apartment: it seemed to me to sleep in one of the ancient pagodas I visited in Hue. Fabulous. The restaurant alone, for its furnishings and accurate reconstruction of the interior of a typical “garden house”, for the view of the garden and for the everyday changing mis-en-place, as well as for the menu, is worth trying if you are in Hue.

On the south-central coast of Vietnam, the luxurious Banyan Tree Lang Co is a vast complex of Vietnamese royal architecture. Staff were excellent, catering for dietary requirements for meals (thank you Renato and team), arranging trips and advising on best places to go (thank you Mi and team) and also providing special pillows to help get over jet lag quicker (thank you manager Dao and team).

Offering free bikes and free WiFi, Alba Wellness Resort By Fusion boasts natural mineral hot springs, onsen and spa facilities sitting on 2,000 m² land. Kind staff, a lot of Activities tò do, special onsen and good food. They provided a present for my birthday :)

Staff went out of their way to help you and in particular the staff in the restaurant. They were faultless, remembering small details and ensuring that each meal was perfect. Great to have access to the free bikes to get around, especially because the roads and paths near to the lodge are quiet. The room was great; comfortable and spacious. We will definitely return next time we are in Hue

Situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Tam Giang - Cầu Hai Lagoon, Villa Louise Hue Beach Boutique Hotel offers accommodation on its private beach area. Lots of charm and beautifully built in colonial style. One of the best beaches I’ve seen and with little people. Very good food and service. Facilities could need some maintenance but it will not bother you.
