We find ourselves presented with two alternatives: 1) Request the assistance of an engineer to address the repair, although this appears to be an ongoing problem within this hotel, addressing only the surface rather than the underlying cause. 2.)Opt for a room transfer of the same category, albeit with the inconvenience of the new room not yet being prepared, necessitating a waiting period. From a guest's perspective, I harbor significant unease. A recent shooting incident unfolded in close proximity to Paragon in Bangkok. While we are here to relish a vacation, ensuring our personal safety must be paramount. If the hotel cannot adhere to a regular maintenance and repair schedule for even the most rudimentary security features such as room door locks, it falls short of providing the essential safety that should be guaranteed. Furthermore, my visit was intended for holiday enjoyment. Whether I am compelled to remain within the room to await an engineer's repair or await the preparation of a room closer to the staircase, both scenarios notably detract from my overall experience. Hotel Location Is Extremely Remote For those who possess a fervent commitment to fitness, the hotel's concept may indeed prove convenient, as it facilitates participation in group classes for an additional fee. However, for individuals with only a modest fitness regimen, the hotel's isolated location may serve as a deterrent, given the considerable inconvenience in reaching any destination. It takes approximately half an hour to reach Central, an hour to reach Patong, and the journey to Karon Beach encompasses approximately 14 kilometers.
