Permai Rainforest Resort is an eco-friendly resort at the foot of Mount Santubong, a 5-minute walk from Sarawak Cultural Village. The resort offers a café and barbecue facilities.

Each cabin at Permai Resort is equipped with a fridge and tea/coffee maker. En suite bathrooms come with hot shower facilities. We had an amazing time here! The sea view outside of the tree house is beautiful and there are surprising few mosquitoes (none at night actually, maybe because it's dry season). We love the jungle trails and private beaches, and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Food provided at the cafe are also delicious and reasonablly priced (big portion). We even saw several proboscus monkeys outside of the tree houses.

The accommodation was comfortable. Complimentary coconuts and treats were served upon arrival. We were allowed to visit resort next door, Culvert. We were satisfied with the trip!

For guests who drive, free parking is provided. We had lovely time in Damai Beach Resort. Since the receptioninst made a mistake and put into the wrong category of accomodation, we have seen both. Invest into the premium category, you will not regret it. That part of the hotel is a paradise. The standart category is ok but it doesnt even get half way to the experience you get on the top of the hill. There are great pools in the resort and you practically have the beach for yourself.
