I had a wonderful stay at The Den at Yala. The place was spotless and very well maintained, which made it super comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The food was homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious – a real highlight of the stay. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Yala!

Beautiful property and well appointed rooms. Lovely decor and amazing food. We were thoroughly spoilt by Claire and the team at Warden’s House. The daily safaris were an excellent bonus - we saw a leopard!! We had an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to go back.

An amazing experience right next to Yala National Park, in the middle of sugarcane plantations and surrounded by unique wildlife that you can spot during a jeep tour around the hotel. I received an incredibly warm welcome, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend it – it was one of the highlights of my trip through Sri Lanka!

The owner is a true artist and the fact is evident in every detail of his little village like resort. The communal dining was very good and even though we had to bow out because of jet lag we enjoyed listening to the drumming as we feel asleep, it didn’t go on very late so got plenty of rest for our early morning safari in Yala. Would stay here again!

His expertise allowed us to spot a wide variety of animals, including the leopard—a truly unforgettable highlight of the trip! His passion for the animals and the park was evident, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect retreat after an exciting day of exploring the park.
