The food was amazing, and the portions of breakfast were very generous. The view from the restaurant is the best I've seen in Sri Lanka so far and the family that run the place are very friendly. The pool was clean and has a sea view, I would highly recommend for anyone looking for some quiet time.

Great for 2 days disconnecting, surrounded by nature. The open air cabanas and rooms are amazing, especially the open shower, I saw 2 toucans chilling on my shower. Pool is great and there is plenty of space for sunbathing there when tired of the beach. Option to join a yoga class (morning and evening) or have a treatment at the spa as add-ons. Breakfast was good (mostly sri Lankan curry but some sweet options too)

There is magnificient view of the bay. The place is really peaceful as there is no noise from any road, we really appreciated this as most other places we stayed at had quite a bit of traffic noise. There is a beach appr. 200m from the hotel. The interior is cozy and modern, with well finished surfaces and details.

I recently spent my holiday at Pinipahana Walauwa in Matara, located down south in Sri Lanka, and it was a wonderful experience. The property is a charming, well-maintained heritage-style house with a peaceful atmosphere and clean surroundings. One of the highlights was the English breakfast, which was absolutely delightful and well-prepared. I also enjoyed the dinner options, which came at an additional cost but offered a good variety to choose from and were very satisfying. The location adds to the experience with a serene pool and a distant sea view, creating the perfect setting to unwind. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway with a touch of history!

Ahhh we really loved it here. Would recommend renting a bike so you can go easily between Weligama and Mirissa. Our hosts were perfect. Great breakfasts (we especially loved the Sri Lankan option - one of the best breakfasts on our trip). They gave us good recommendations for snorkeling and surfing. The views were just incredible and we'll never forget the sound of the bugs and birds there. Would definitely go back.

Despite we visited Anantara Resort in low season everything was perfect. The service was particularity nice, it was very attentive and accurate. We felt very spoiled. Food, considering we are in Srilanka, was delicious. Best breakfast of the country. The territory and the garden are simply stunning, everything is amazingly maintained, the ocean views are for the truly romantics. Gym it’s updated and very spacious. SPA is a 11/10.
