Our family of 4 stayed at Ivory Tree for 2 nights and it was a great experience for usnand the kids in terms of accommodation, food and safari game drives. The lodge was spacious and well maintained. We enjoyed the dipping pool in our lodge in between game drives. The food variety was broad, with menus changing everyday. Service staff were friendly and helpful. There was also an africa drum session at dinner on our first night where diners are invited to participate, which was entertaining and fun. We loved the safari game drives which were well spaced - there was one in the early morning and an evening one, leaving you half a day to enjoy other activities. Our guide Syabonga was great at spotting animals and also gave us good information about the plants around.

I really enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Honey Bee Guesthouse. The place is beautifully decorated and has a peaceful, homely feel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making my stay relaxing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. The breakfast was delicious. The guesthouse is also conveniently located in a quiet area, yet close enough to access shops and main routes easily. Overall, it felt safe, calm, and thoughtfully arranged.

An incredible stay which exceeded our expectations. A special mention goes to the following staff: our Guide, Jon-Harry (who was incredibly knowledgeable and impressed us with what we saw every single drive) and Chef Kamo (who delivers fantastic food). Likewise, Lucas, Precious, and Maria could never do enough to accommodate us, and Jacobeth cleaned our room to a very high standard. We also saw the team's professionalism on display, particularly with rude and demanding clients.

Our stay was AMAZING! 3 days of exceptional experience in the middle of Pilanesberg reserve. 4 safaris with 4 different guides, all them really nice and attentive. The rooms are confortable, shower is delicious. The hotel is really KIDS FRIENDLY, with mini golf, tennis, pools, kids parks, chest, etc. Food was surprisingly good! It was my husband's birthday and they were nice to bring him a happy birthday cake. Elephants drank water in front of the restaurant. Amazing stay!

What a place! I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is! We were return travelers and had another truly incredible stay. From stunningly beautiful rooms, wonderful and very friendly staff, absolutely amazing wildlife and delicious food- nothing is short of perfect. We just wish we stayed longer! We will definitely be back!

There's so much to do in Harties, I love this town!

There's so much to do in Harties, I love this town! The locals are friendly and the vibe is just amazing. My favourite was the cable cars - the view at the top of the mountain is stunning. My kids enjoyed exploring. Our trip was too short though, would have loved to stay longer.

We stayed at The Kingdom resort. its a very well run operation with great facilities for kids and adults and is very close to the Pilanesberg Game reserve. It is much more cost effective than staying in the park which is exhorbitantly expensive

We loved that it was in the middle of nowhere and we came...

We loved that it was in the middle of nowhere and we came prepared to experience all the nature and the different activities the resort had to offer. The weather was not playing along but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Pity paintball did t happen it we enjoy the Super tube, Zip line, quad bikes ( which accommodated our 8 year old), Archery 🏹. On our way out, we saw a giraffe 🦒 which was really exciting and a ting green snake 🐍 crossing the road. The place had activities for both our kids (8 and 15 years).

The hotel was ideally situated.

The hotel was ideally situated. However, both access roads have been neglected by the current municipality. What a sad state of affairs with the blatant mismanagement we see in the Klerksdorp and surrounding suburbs.

I loved the fact that it's well located and yet in the nature part of of Potchefstroom. Not far from shops etc. The place is very clean The road needs 4×4 cars it's not user friendly for normal sedan or small cars,I wondered how the road would be if it was raining There are no TV sets in the rooms that's very sad! And 3 rooms share 1 fridge!

Good city in general with plenty of open space for its growth but the crossing between Dadford and Proctor can be frustrating with the traffic that leave you stranded. Also the Dadford road full of holes, need to be maintained until it is either tarred or paved (I might confuse between Dadford and Proctor which one is tarred). I found the city people to be friendly and helpful. That alone can make you visit the city regularly. And the weather was fantastic, warm . Unfortunately there was no opportunity to visit the game reserve. Next time Issue of plastic bags laying in some open space must be sorted out. They give a dirty image on a city with good potential for growth. Lately, issue of reaching the city either by plane or coaches should be resolved. It is a pity that no plane could be found to shorten the distance with Gauteng. Even coaches where not available between Gauteng and Mahikeng. Resolving the issue of public transport between the Gauteng hub and Mahikeng could increase the number of tourists flocking to this warm city

Pilansberg is a 3 hour from Johannesburg.

Pilansberg is a 3 hour from Johannesburg. It is easily accessible however the roads to the Pilansberg are not in great shape. It would be best to take a shuttle than to drive yourself. The park is fantastic with all the animals. We saw many lion, a leopard, many elephants, many rhino and lots more. I highly recommend.

I attended the Glen Jones concert.

I attended the Glen Jones concert. It was convenient to go to Sun City. It was 12 km away. The chalet was clean. If I had time we could had a braai. Also easy access as day visitor to Sun City. They offer game drives and games.

The room was fine.

The room was fine. Our biggest issue was that we were so looking forward to a good country breakfast and it was a complete disaster. The fried eggs looked as if a steam roller had squashed them and were burnt, the pork sausage was raw and the potatoes were hard and not cooked. Then asked for a soft boiled egg.....2 eggs were delivered in a silver gravy boat as no egg cups available. Egg was hard boiled. For a 5 star rating this was a very poor show and totally unacceptable.
