Exceptional homestay in Phong Nha. Our hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us arriving one night early. They were always around to assist us with activity booking, laundry services, local recommendations and bus accommodations which picked us up right from the homestay. Everyday we were greeted with tea or coffee, which was a sweet gesture. The pool table upstairs and pool made it easy to meet other travelers. The rooms were spacious and clean. Our hosts even allowed us to stay in our room beyond check out while we waited for our night bus to come and pick us up. We were especially taken back by our host asking us for feedback on the experience as you could tell she wanted to ensure a positive stay for future guests. Overall, it was an incredible experience and our favourite homestay/hotel we stayed in during our three week trip in Vietnam. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Hoa the owner was absolutely amazing from the very first moment. She took care of EVERYTHING in our staying from picking us up from the bus station in the middle of the night, earlier than expected, through free early check in to dinners and renting a motorbike. The place is spectacular and calming. Everything was beautiful. The location is 10 minutes driving from the center that is anyhow not that epic so we didn't mind. It was quiet and amazing.

Staying at Coco Riverside in Phong Nha was a fantastic experience. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, providing a very comfortable stay. The hospitality here is outstanding, the owners speak good English and went above and beyond to help us arrange tickets for travel to and from other cities, offering us several options. Additionally, the hotel offers excursions to the famous caves, very convenient to explore the area. They were always ready to assist us with anything we needed. Although we had some bad luck with the weather and couldn’t do all the activities we’d planned, we highly recommend Coco Riverside. We’re already considering a return trip to Phong Nha, and there’s no doubt we’ll stay here again!

Couldn’t say a bad word about this stay!! Linh contacted me as soon as I made the booking to see if I need any assistance with getting to the stay or assist with anything else. This was very helpful as I actually decided we needed to change the booking slightly and he was very accomodating!! Beyond that he and his staff were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. Even though it was on the edge of winter we couldn’t not get in the pool once - it’s as stunning as the pictures show. couldn’t recommend this Homestay further to all types of travellers. For young travellers looking for a party there are tourists throughout the town and the main hostel is 200m down the road

We were satisfied with the hotel. The room was large and clean, with a nice bathroom and well working air conditioning and internet. The hotel is not directly at the beach and I do not know what is meant with the private beach, but in any case one can walk in 10 minutes to the sunflower beach/restaurant that is actually the best beach we have seen in Vietnam during our one month holiday.

Great location to explore Phon Nha. The rooms / villas are very spacious and comfortable, the bed was just great. The staff is extremely friendly and super helpful, they also allowed us to check-in already at 8:00 in the morning since we arrived early after a night in the train. We can also recommend the tours to the national park and the caves (Paradise Cave is just stunning!) they offer.

Beautiful family in a gorgeous location overlooking paddies, mountains and farmland. The homestay is just far enough from the nearby restaurant/hostel street to feel closer to quiet, local life, but only a short bike ride away (provided free of charge) so you’re options are plentiful. Also, wonderful to book tours through. A perfect stay!

Lovely area that is not as touristy as others.

Lovely area that is not as touristy as others. Phong Nha cave and Paradise cave were both lovely to visit. We hired a motorbike between two people and visited them ourselves. Cheaper than doing a tour. And we got to see lovely scenery enroute to the caves. We also joined some others for the boat to Phong Nha caves to share the cost of the boat.

We liked the local eateries serving traditional food. The locals were the friendliest we have met so far. The area is really chilled and the residents of Dong Hoi seem of a happy disposition. Paradise cave is well worth a visit. Get a private taxi there for 7am opening and you may be lucky enough to have the entire cave to yourself, as we did! Try the eel noodles. If you’re from the UK the eels don’t tast like they do at home, they are meaty and have zero fishy taste or odour. Delicious. If you fancy a craft beer, M Steakhouse has amber ale, stout and pale ale. We went here for a break from Vietnamese food and wasn’t disappointed.

Very nice room, local bathroom system unusual for westerners. Breakfast ok ( except coffee wich in most places Phong nha is not good) very good help from Linh Over all I give a 8-9 grade to my experience at this hotel

We loved the caves up in Phong Nha National Park and the...

We loved the caves up in Phong Nha National Park and the whole surroundings. It was a great excursion. We rented scooters in Dong Hoi and drove there. Nature is amazingly beautiful. There is not much traffic, but it's good to be at the Paradise Cave early. When the tour groups arrive, the atmosphere gets destroyed, as everywhere. The boat trip into Phong Nha Cave was nice. There we went later in the afternoon, again because then the groups have gone. We preferred staying down in Dong Hoi because it's more of a local scene there are excellent restaurants in town.

A long boat ride into the cave followed by a quieter paddling inside. The caves is huge largest I've ever been and very impressive with the structures. After boat ride, we walked a short while allowing to view them up close.

It is a stop off spot to go to Phong Na and other points, but the city is very charming, not very touristy. We loved it - go to the street market, the tree hugger cafe and seafood stands on the beach.
