The room and resort were very clean. I was there during one of vietnams typhoons. I was only planning on staying 1 night before heading off to danang by motorbike but after talking with the owner he advised me to wait a day until the storm was more quite. The owner is extremely nice and curteous , he took care of me while i was there and advised me the best route to take to reach danang to avoid flooded areas. I will stay here again next time i am back to vietnam

The best thing about Lucky Homes was the staff, they were both accommodating and friendly. The chef invited me one night to hang out and chill with him and have some beer, snacks, and rice wine, was an awesome time. The second thing I loved about Lucky Homes was how delicious the food was, I did not have to eat out at any other restaurants cause the food here was really good, and I never ate the same thing twice, the chef had a good variety of meals to suggest for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The property itself was very clean, and the room and bathroom were massive, with more than enough space, which made it super comfortable. The location was right across from the river, they have tables and chairs for you to relax and have a drink or eat while enjoying the beautiful scenery. It's not too far from the town center, maybe like a 25-minute walk, but I enjoyed the area around Lucky Homes more. They have bicycles free to use, which was fun exploring the neighborhood, and also motorbike rental, which I used to drive to Paradise Cave, highly recommended. Overall, this was one of the best trips I have taken in a while and Lucky Homes attributed a large amount of the reason why I had such a great time.

This was easily the best hotel my wife and I have stayed in during our month travelling in Vietnam. We were on the 16th floor and our room had a great view over the city. The room was huge and the bathroom was also large, it even had a separate bath. The staff were wonderful and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. For the price, this hotel is a spectacular bargain and comes highly recommended by us.

Great, spacious, clean bungalows out of the beaten path in Phong Nha, close to the river and caves but still detached from the main road so that the vibe is more "local" and relaxed. Everything worked super well, the staff is incredibly nice and attentive and the free breakfast (and home cooked food at their restaurant) is very tasty. A perfect place for a stop in Phong Nha or even for a longer, quieter stay with the countryside and mountains and rice fields around. Highly recommended!

We actually booked this place last minute and we're greeted straight away by warm, friendly and welcoming staff that spoke very good English. We were asked if we wanted dinner which they prepared for us especially and tasted delicious! Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and what a view!! (11th floor!) We had a beautiful balcony that wrapped around the entire corner to sit out on and watch the world pass by. Great customer service and it was very quiet! Would definitely recommend

Great option to stay in Phong Nha, as most options in town are hostels. Great view of the lake, great food and drinks as well. The hotel also has a spa, which was super convenient especially after 2 long days of trekking. You need to take a taxi to go to town, but the town is quite small and not much going on, so it was nice to stay in this much more quiet area. You can kayak and swim in the lake, which we didn't do as we were too tired, but it looked nice.

We were satisfied with the hotel. The room was large and clean, with a nice bathroom and well working air conditioning and internet. The hotel is not directly at the beach and I do not know what is meant with the private beach, but in any case one can walk in 10 minutes to the sunflower beach/restaurant that is actually the best beach we have seen in Vietnam during our one month holiday.

Lovely area that is not as touristy as others.

Lovely area that is not as touristy as others. Phong Nha cave and Paradise cave were both lovely to visit. We hired a motorbike between two people and visited them ourselves. Cheaper than doing a tour. And we got to see lovely scenery enroute to the caves. We also joined some others for the boat to Phong Nha caves to share the cost of the boat.

We liked the local eateries serving traditional food. The locals were the friendliest we have met so far. The area is really chilled and the residents of Dong Hoi seem of a happy disposition. Paradise cave is well worth a visit. Get a private taxi there for 7am opening and you may be lucky enough to have the entire cave to yourself, as we did! Try the eel noodles. If you’re from the UK the eels don’t tast like they do at home, they are meaty and have zero fishy taste or odour. Delicious. If you fancy a craft beer, M Steakhouse has amber ale, stout and pale ale. We went here for a break from Vietnamese food and wasn’t disappointed.

We loved the caves up in Phong Nha National Park and the whole surroundings. It was a great excursion. We rented scooters in Dong Hoi and drove there. Nature is amazingly beautiful. There is not much traffic, but it's good to be at the Paradise Cave early. When the tour groups arrive, the atmosphere gets destroyed, as everywhere. The boat trip into Phong Nha Cave was nice. There we went later in the afternoon, again because then the groups have gone. We preferred staying down in Dong Hoi because it's more of a local scene there are excellent restaurants in town.

A long boat ride into the cave followed by a quieter paddling inside. The caves is huge largest I've ever been and very impressive with the structures. After boat ride, we walked a short while allowing to view them up close.
