Everything was perfect. Awesome location, great staff and unique accomodation. As it is a little bit out of the main centre to properly enjoy it you should either be able to ride motorbike or bicycle. Bicycle hire was free and the roads are quiet so very nice to bike around to the attractions. On site restaurant and food was also great.

The friendly owners (Dung and Tuan) are super welcoming and helpful. They booked a van for us from Hanoi at very affordable rates. We also celebrated New Year's Eve with their family and friends. The staff is also very professional and always smiling. You are greeted with tea and footbath once you are back from your day visits. The breakfast options are very nice with plentiful of fruits. The recommendation are spot on with free bicycles. Lastly, the owners are so nice that they prepared a food package for us when we checked out. This is what makes them different from other properties. I will come again to this place and totally recommend everyone to stay at this wonderful place in Tam Coc.

The location of the hotel is very central and within short walking distance. There are bicycles available for free for hotel guest. The boat pier is just 100m away and there are plenty of places around for cycling. The garden of the hotel and fish pond with colorful fishes is very intriguing, my 3.5 yrs old daughter spent more time in the garden and around fish pond then inside the room.

I really liked how warm and caring the staff were during my stay. The facilities match the pictures online. Very clean. Some staff speak English more than others. Their pet corgi is absolutely adorable. I truly enjoyed my stay and I am sad to go. This is the type of place you think you will be there for a short time but it's so convenient, clean, warm and peacful you just want to stay longer. I extended my stay by two nights on my packed itinerary. On a personal note when I wasn't feeling well I was offered water and pain relief medication that did wonders! I was also followed up with regarding how I was feeling multiple times. They even offered to have a doctor visit, very thoughtful. So grateful for this kindness. As a solo traveller figuring out my adventures and navigating a horrible headache, your warm welcome and care really made my stay. Thank you so much, I hope to have the pleasure of visiting again for longer. Until we meet again!

If you want be a little closer to the Ninh Binh nature then this is the best place for you! What an amazing experience to sleep in a bungalow, with a window open and the sounds of local nature. It felt so private, quiet, you can read a book in a hammock or swim in a pool surrounded by a beautiful landscape. We loved the morning breakfast (banana cake and omelette are the top!), rented free bicycles directly from the homestay and cycled for about 10 min to the local village which offers other restaurants, cafe and food shops. You can easily cycle to the Trang An to get on a 3 hrs boat ride, 20 mins to Mua Cave or even to Tam Coc (about 40 mins cycling but it's not tiring since there are no hills), where is even bigger variety of restaurants, there are ATMs if needed (as Trang An ATM was not working). The staff in the homestay cleaned our room and provided new towels every day (which smelled so good!) and every day we got new water and snacks. What a treat! Thank you so much for this experience :)

This was a lovely, quiet place to stay in the countryside. My room was absolutely lavish, and well worth the price! A gift of strong rice wine was a nice surprise. The staff were excellent and helped me decide what to do during my stay. I enjoyed biking around the nearby countryside; it was absolutely gorgeous. If you are a birder, the area is really nice. The marsh across the road was brimming with yellow and cinnamon bitterns, waterhens, coucals, rails, kingfishers, prinias, fantails, herons, egrets, and so many other good things! You can try fishing just down the road, and there is a short walk or bike ride to an excellent boat tour through some caves for a very reasonable price. I wish I could have stayed longer! Special thanks to Tau (I hope I spelled your name correctly). This lovely lady was so nice, friendly, and helpful to me! The whole staff was amazing. Would love to visit again someday.

Everything, it had a lovely feel to it, the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. We would certainly revisit this hotel. We went on a trip with Dũng which made our stay with you so special. His knowledge which he shared with us on everything was vast, he was so considerate, caring and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We loved his sense of humour and company.

we had the private room which was really lovely - a great view over the lily pond at the front of the property, with a barrel tub for a bath and a comfy double bed with AC. the staff were so lovely and helpful, the food was really great, the facilities in good condition, and the setting really beautiful!

I was looking for a beautiful chill place near Ba Dinh Pagoda and I found everything I wanted: a quiet spacious room, a nice swimming pool, a great restaurant and free bikes. The staff was exceptional, thoughtful, and very helpful. I spent only two days there, but it felt like a full scale holiday.

We actually stayed in Tam Coc, a nearby smaller tourist town...

We actually stayed in Tam Coc, a nearby smaller tourist town next to Ninh Binh. We stayed for 6 nights total and there were lots of things to do around. Pagodas, tamples, lots of caves, boat tours through those caves, Hang Mua view. I can definitely recommend it.

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

After few days in hectic but great Hanoi, I thoroughly enjoyed Ninh Binh. I explored the area including the Trang An boat through the Halong Bay on land (it really is), cycling around the rice fields, visiting the Mua Cave (and going up the mountain), the hidden parts and cafes. It’s a slower pace place but this makes it special.

I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

Ninh Binh itself is an industrial city - the real...

Ninh Binh itself is an industrial city - the real attraction is Trang An. Get there early - 6:50am, choose Route 1, and prepare to be transported into another world. Pictures do not capture the other worldly atmosphere of the place - it really is something special.
