The staff were amazing! Mi at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed here for one night before our trek and they let us keep our bags there. When we came back to pick up our bags they gave us hot tea, let us use the hot showers and towels to change and gave us water and a snack for the trip back to Hanoi. Customer service was above and beyond. We treated ourselves to a full body massage the night before our trek and it was amazing. Location is just outside of the town but a nice stroll and the views are stunning! Customer service was amazing.

You feel so at home at Pistachio Hotel. It is located at the heart of Sapa; walking distance to Sun Plaza, Sapa Catholic Church; local restaurants and souvenir shops. The room was excellent, clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Everything was available inside the room. Breakfast was amazing with a variety of choices of sumptuous food. food prices for room service is also cheap. The staffs are so friendly. Ms. Chau (supervisor) is very commendable. She was so helpful and provided us details with regards to weather and the best time to visit Fansipan; where to buy souvenirs at cheap price, etc. She even arrange our transport to Halong Bay and handed us gift and a THANK YOU note. The hotel is well recommended. Given a chance to visit Sapa, we will definitely come back to Pistachio Hotel, it is just perfect!

We liked our stay in this so lovely and colorful hotel😻 . It is super clean, super hospitable and comfortable, beds are very comfy with high level textile and clean. Room is big and has nice balcony with lovely view on mountain. Location is very good and 2 min from restaurants and city centre (which is noisy) but our place was quiet. Breakfast was fool, European style with local fruits and even pancakes. I also liked very nice decorations in the room and lobby, so welcoming and enjoying atmosphere 😻👌🏻 Miss Trang was incredible host and tour provider who helped to book tickets online and arrange transport. Look how beautiful it is from the photos.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay in a Premium Executive Suite with an amazing view of the nearby rice terraces and mountains. The accommodations were fantastic, with comfortable beds, and serene gorgeous surroundings. The two restaurants provided lovely local cuisine and the included breakfast had an enormous offering of both Vietnamese and Western options. The infinity pool with the happy hour was a consistent afternoon addition to our days and a welcome respite after hiking in the surrounding rice terraces, or an excursion to Sapa and Mt. Funsipan. Would love to return one day!

The Deluxe triple room facing the city is perfect, bed was comfy, breakfast has many choices, the staffs also nice and very helpful. Best location, just across the Sunplaza Sapa Station. My big thanks for Ms. Yuna (FO Manager) and Jayce for helped us to find alternate transportation as our limousine from Sapa to Hanoi cancelled by agent in the very last minute (due no car available even we bought it one month before our trip start!!!). You knew how panic I was at that night. Once again, thank you much.

The room was very spacious, neat, and with a nice view of the mountains surrounding the village. The bathroom was the best we had during our time in Vietnam, it was really good. Cleaning was also really good. Best was probably the reception staff, they were really helpful and kind. They helped us with getting taxi's and recommending restaurants and things to see in the area. Would definitely recommend going here!

Sa Pa City was mostfly in deep fog when I was there early...

Sa Pa City was mostfly in deep fog when I was there early December. The city itself, nothing to write home about, but a good place to travel in to and the biggest city in the region so ofc prefered to use as a base for other activities. The real adventures are outside this gloomy town. Will come again, but spend as much time as possible outside the city.

Lao Cai is a frontier town and as such, has a quite quirky feel to it. There is not a whole lot to do per se, apart from visiting a couple of pagodas. I do like the vibe there and there is some really good Vietnamese food available.

A great, quiet mountain town - and we didn't even go for the Sunday market! We stayed 4 nights, and would come back. Take tours of the surrounding hill tribes and mountains with Mr Huy Trung, from Huy Trung Homestay, or use his self-guided walking tour maps. We enjoyed the second hand shops and Milano coffee cafe, and a restaurant at BacHA Boutique Homestay, by the lake.

Very nice town with a pleasant climate.

Very nice town with a pleasant climate. Shopping markets and streets are within a walking distance from the hotel. Restaurants are nearby with many verity to choose from. We experienced the sleeper bus from Hanoi which were very nice new experience for us.

Very difficult to find your way there, all homestay/hotel...

Very difficult to find your way there, all homestay/hotel owners refuse to provide information and collaborate only with specific companies. English guides limited but a guide named Thao made our stay a nightmare. She was trying to push lunch and other side services, once she realized we didn’t want that, she stopped any guiding and intentionally destroyed half of one day and the whole second day by acting simply as a side person on the trip, not providing absolutely anything. Totally unprofessional and even verbally rude and sarcastic. Avoid at all costs!

I was in Sapa for a total of 6 days , broken up by 2 treks. Sapa is much busier than I expected, however exploring the town area itself was easy if you were happy to walk, with plenty of nice food options. The Hmong people are lovely , even if you don’t buy from them. Sapa needs to get rid of single use plastics to protect their environment before it’s too late. Mountainous area famous for plum. It's called the white valley because during the spring the whole area is covered by plum flowers. So it's best to visit in early January. Otherwise, summer is a good time for plum picking. I had an enjoyable experience picking plum myself and brought lots of them home. I was lucky to visit during the weekends when they had annual horse racing competition. Really memorable. They also have weekly Hmong flea market on Sunday, you can eat local food and see ethnic people trading. Riding motorbike and looking at the mountain was fairly enough for me. You definitely should eat at Sa Mu restaurant. The food was so good that we went there twice.
