We had a wonderful stay at Sakurakyo Hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and had a stunning sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I especially enjoyed the complimentary cable car tickets to Hon Thom Island. Great value for money - highly recommended if you want to enjoy sunset views and peaceful surroundings.

The view of skyline and nightly fireworks is best seen from the sea view rooms. Comfy pillows even though they don't look fluffy but I had the best night's sleep in a long time in this hotel. No laundry service but no problem because they have a tenant providing laundry services at your cost and pretty cheap too 75,000 VND for 3kg of laundry. Many touristy areas near here including the departure station to Sun World, the Symphony of the Sea show, kiss bridge, eateries along Pearl street. If you don't feel like walking 1km, plenty of electric tuk-tuks and taxis waiting to fetch you.

The breakfast selection is vast, and the restaurant's ambiance, coupled with high-quality service, is exceptional. The pool is fantastic, even for those who enjoy competitive swimming. It’s about 23 meters long with a sufficient depth! The atmosphere by the pool is lovely, with relaxing music playing in the background. The bar offers great cocktails and smoothies. It’s truly a pleasure to stay here.

We planned to live there for a week but stayed 2 weeks. We loved this place very much. There is nice territory, good swimming pool, mango trees… It was nice to have time there. Also a big advantage is open kitchen and big fridge. You can buy products and cook as at home. Also it was convenient to rent motorbikes just at the hotel. And staff was very friendly!

We booked here last minute and are so glad we did. We even tried to extend but they were full sadly. Lovely and clean, good bathrooms with warm showers. Location is good, right near lovely beach bar with loungers/bean bags and lots of nice restaurants etc. There is a free Shuttle bus which is really handy for getting around. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was of a very high quality with lots of options to suit everyone's tastes. The rooms were kept very clean. They hotel hostest a really fun NYE party. The buffet was delicious and the staff were really accommodating and fun. It is only a short walk to many excellent places to eat and about a 15 minute walk to a gorgeous beach.

Location, ocean facing rooms were excellent with a view to kill. Staff was very polite, helpful and honest. Special mention of Mr Hieu from the pool who found and returned my earring promptly the next morning. One other Mr Hieu , manager from the banquet, was very helpful when it came to meals, as we were vegetarians.

The island is so beautiful!

The island is so beautiful! Thete are many unspoiled beaches and incredible places hete - just avoid the over-commercialized places like Sunset Town. Duong Dong is a good area - for cuisine, shopping and beaches. Pearls are cultivated locally and can be bought more cheaply in some markets. The Night Markets are such fun! Take taxis and tuktuk - cheap and cheerful.

Ha Tien is an interesting area, sprawled out along the ocean, consisting of waterfront, restaurants, beaches, and swimming areas. places to drive and walk and explore. I have fun on my motorbike, ranging all over the area and felt quite safe. There are newer, developing areas and older established areas. The downtown areas seem to have pretty basic hotels not many foreigners here as it’s a favourite for Vietnamese people to visit during the holiday holidays.

The main town is fairly average, not particularly pretty. OK food options, big range but average quality and expensive (tourist / island) prices compared to HCM. Too many noisy doof-doof nightclubs along the beach ruin the chance for a relaxing sleep. Leave it for the backpacker revellers. Many accommodation options seem run down. Plenty of Russians around, this rarely improves the ambiance in my experience.

A good place for 2-3 day breaks.

A good place for 2-3 day breaks. The traditional part of the town is a good place to walk round. The streets are not crowded. There is a large ‘CoopMart’ supermarket for supplies. There are 1 or 2 western style cofffee shops to relax in such as the “Everyday” coffee shop which sits just back from the water. At night there are a number of large modern and smart Asian restaurants. A lot of money is being devoted towards developing not just this coastal part of Vietnam but also the adjoining coastal region of Cambodia.
