This hotel is stunning. The staff are fabulous, attending to your every need - sometimes a bit much when three people approach you the moment you walk out of the lift, but you cannot fault the service levels and attention to detail. Had a very late flight and after traipsing round HCMC all day in 32C, I asked if it might be possible to have a quick shower before heading to the airport. The staff arranged it for me quickly - big thanks to Kien and team for that as it was highly appreciated! Also stayed at the Au Lac Legend the week before - that was also very good, but this hotel is a cut above.

This might be the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Super clean, comfortable and modern. The women’s dorms were quiet and you have your own locker and cubicle. The bathroom was impeccably clean, great hot water and pressure, they even have heated Japanese toilets lol. The staff were incredibly helpful as well, including Julian. I ended up extending two more nights! It’s also in a great location- walking distance to the main sights.

Excellent location, walking distance to Bùi Viện street, the park, Bến Thành market while it tucked in a small quiet alley. Many good restaurants/ local eateries around the area. Charming and modern design enchants a visitor at the first glance. The hotel is suited close to the city center, within walkable distance, however still providing silent haven, where you can relax by the poolside, after exhausting sightseeing or a tour in scorching tropical weather of southern Vietnam. Internal design and cleanliness makes you feel like being in a movie with Richard Gere. Nothing less could be said about a room, both cosy and aromatic. Special note is to be made about hotel's staff. These super friendly people would help you with anything, extremely polite and always available, speaking from my personal experience as we have encountered medical situation demanding a doctor. Thanks to these qualified personnel, It took no longer than 10 minutes from staff being notified until a doctor examining us at the nearest hospital. Definately recommend to have a dinner or a drink at least, at the rooftop bar! We would be honoured to visit the Mai House Saigon hotel once again!

The service was amazing and the location was in a garden of Eden. Rooms were beautiful and lovely size. They took into account that I was disabled and put us in a room on the ground level very close to the restaurant which was extremely appreciated. It was a birthday weekend for my wife and they meticulously planned everything with balloons and a banner in the bedroom on arrival and a beautiful cake. We all had a wonderful massage. The attention to detail made this five star hotel well earned write down to them waving and then uniformly bowling as the boat pulled away from the jetty. Nice touch. Wandering around the resort you would have no idea how big the place actually was because it was so overflowing with greenery. A Special shout out for Drew and Nhi who really went out of their way to look after us.

My only concern was that of the evening restaurant staff who seemed to have great difficulty in getting the correct menu order to the table. Every evening I had great difficulty in conversing with the waiters, even with the aid of the menu, I often received the wrong order. The were unable to converse or understand English

The location is amazing! Right next to the party street, but completely quiet. Also the Saigon bus terminal is 250m away, so our trip to cu chi tunnels was easier than expected (27k đ one way, about 2,5h). There is no breakfast, but many cafes, restaurants and 7-Elevens around to compensate. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean.

The city is busy, busy, busy.

The city is busy, busy, busy. The colonial history and architecture, make for some good sight seeing. Most attractions are fairly central, with the Independence Palace and Army Museum giving a good insight to the countries recent history. Food is fabulous and the SH Garden restaurant is highly recommended.

Great escape from the bustling city of Saigon, only 1.5hrs traveling by motorbike ... Many historical sites to dive into, plenty of serene countryside rice fields & bumpy offroad trails to explore ... If seeking accommodations, be sure to check out Les Hameaux de l'Orient :)

Busy, Busy City

Busy, Busy City Vibrant if you stay in the right district a little unwelcoming & full on if you stay in the likes of D5 Chinatown. "Tourist" district is definitely D1. I didn't love the food here as much as I thought I was thinking more flavourful like Thailand but it's a little more basic and local than that. Highlights Ice Coffee I didn't love egg coffee that's more of a dessert. Sugar Cane drink Food was just survivable for me. Loved the Cu Chi Tunnels interesting & informative moderate challenge on the knees 😆 Did not rate Remnants Museum especially in the morning as school groups go through, disrespectful, loud and completely detracts from the feeling you expect to have. Mekong River Tour not bad cool River, big and industrious the meal was ok but cold. Oh and at the Tunnels firing the AK47 was a highlight even though I'm not a gun person interesting to know the power of them. The people of HCM are polite although not the friendly, smiling people I expected but that's because it's a business area. Grab Scooters are awesome I'm 51 felt very safe definitely get the app. Overall good place worth seeing. I wouldn't come back but glad I visited 5 days would be ample.
