We really enjoyed our stay at Vina Ecolife, but there are a couple of things future travelers should know. First, the hotel is located in Phu Le village, in Ben Tre Province, not Ben Tre City. Booking.com wasn’t clear about this — it’s about an hour’s drive from the city, so just be aware of the location if you’re planning your trip. That said, the village itself is peaceful and charming and fun to cycle around with the free bikes the hotel provides. We had a fantastic meal at a local restaurant nearby (Tien Oc Hoi Xua), and the setting is ideal if you’re looking to experience authentic rural life in the Mekong Delta. The real highlight was the staff — incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Huan, who went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. She arranged transport, organised a brilliant tour to a Homestay on an island where we were warmly welcomed by the host family. We cut and drank fresh coconuts, cycled around the island, relaxed in hammocks with a cold beer, and enjoyed a sunset boat ride. She also took us to a nearby village to meet locals making bamboo baskets, and we shared green tea with them — a truly special experience. Breakfast at the hotel was also great, with tasty local options. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t quite powerful enough for the room, so it stayed a bit too warm, and there was no fridge, which would have been handy. Overall, Vina Ecolife is a perfect spot if you’re looking to get off the beaten track and experience the local hospitality.

Wonderfully welcoming and kind family who couldn't do enough for us. Lovely sweet homestay and we did a fantastic tour with the hosts nephew Eric who is an English translator and who also kindly facilitated and accompanied us on a boat transfer to Cai Be. Given the chance we would definitely have stayed longer and would love to return in the future.

My stay at this hotel was simply amazing and the staff of the hotel made it even better. It is located within a 2USD Grab ride from both Ben Tre and My Tho city centre. The room was perfect and the views to the Mekong are the best. I would definetely recommend to stay here.

The room was spacious, hotel area well kept with lots of shade, sitting spots, plants and garden. The pool was the highlight for our kids - spacious, most of the time only for us, right on the riverbanks of Mekong. The hotel manager ( lady at the reception) was very helpful, aranged for us a short boat trip with biking and even went with us as guide. Bikes were available for us during the ehole stay. The area is not turisty at all, we havent´t seen any other foreign turist in 3 days in the village - this was a plus for us, but can be a minus for other people.

i highly reccomend this accomodation. I only stayed one night but if i could atay more i would. The owners were super friendly, very helpful. They had offer us dinner as an addition that was fantastic. The room was excellent. The accomodation is surrounded by nature which is just magestic. We asked the staff that we would like to do a tour in Mekong Delta and rhey had suggested an english speaking guide which was great. Everything was excellent. I couldn't reccomend it more.

The place is a paradise! The property is very well taken care of, the room very spacious and beautifully decorated. The food is amazing, very fresh and abundant, it was our favorite in the whole trip, we had lunch and dinner every day and it was always an experience! The tours organized by the hotel are very nice, we took both tours and loved it! The massage also very good! Can’t wait to come back!

Really beautiful place which felt a real escape after HCMC. Facilities are basic as you’d expect, but it was very comfortable - mosquito net worked well and we weren’t too hot at night with the fan. Owner is extremely helpful - we left something valuable there and he has been great in attempting to return it to us. Food was good, free water and coffee (in the mornings) a bonus.

We had a cottage above the river, which was a really nice expeirence. We took bicycles and drive to temple (like from fairytale) 8 km away and took a 5 hour river tour, which was nice also. Pool is extremly clean and refresing. After chaotic HCM city it was relaxing to enjoy the sounds of natuere/karaoke ;)

After a bad experience at a dirty homestay witd horrible service we made a last minute booking. Got an upgrade to better room for free. Nice swimming pool and bistro has a terrace at the shore of the Mekong river.

Our Homestay owner is very knowledgeable about his hometown...

Our Homestay owner is very knowledgeable about his hometown area. Our trip theme was to visit CACAO FARMS. We saw more! We saw cacao fruits, jack fruits, red coconuts, green coconuts, bananas, pomelos, tangerines, papayas and friendly neighborhood during our bicycle rides. Definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Will visit again.

away from the crowds of My Tho having a similar experience...

away from the crowds of My Tho having a similar experience of the Mekong Delta, would recommend for a day, outside of the Mekong Delta Tour and riding a bike, its a bit boring place with not much more to do

Beautiful garden!

Beautiful garden! A small paradise in the Mekong delta.. very interesting 6 hour boat tour organised by the owner and his family to give a better understanding in the region. Free bicycles and map of the region to explore ben tre area on your own if you like or go to the ben tre market. Very welcoming atmosphere.
