United StatesThis is, without exaggeration, the best hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. When we got stuck in Yosemite because the road was closed, we had to look for another place last minute. Since I had booked a non-refundable option, I honestly didn’t expect to get my money back or be able to change the dates without extra charges. But the team went above and beyond — and my friends and I couldn’t be more grateful.
The view from the terrace was incredible, the room was clean and spacious, and the staff truly did everything they could to help us.
I only regret that we were so stressed and busy that we didn’t even take a single photo. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be in that area again, but I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone passing through.

ArgentinaMuñiz Village is impecable, clean, fully equipped and new. It’s close to Sequoia National Park so it’s very convenient. There are 4 separate units, they are close to each other and we saw the neighbours outside but we had enough privacy. The washing machine and dryer are big, brand new and they were very useful for our family of 4. I read previous reviews about missing a toaster we had one in the kitchen. There was also a hot/ cold drinking water dispenser which we really appreciated. We had a relaxing time here and I would totally recommend this place.

Perfect location right in the middle of town. With the comfy outdoor chairs you can either take in the early morning and watch the resident squirrel feeding from the tree box or have a relaxing drink in the evening before you go to bed. Huge rooms with very comfortable beds. Large fridge to keep your drinks cool. Modern bathroom. Solid traditional feel. In close proximity to local microbrewery with great beer and food. All the activities on Kern river in walking distance. Very quiet at night. Staff very helpful and friendly. A place you would always be happy to return to.

The lodge was a beautiful location in close proximity to Sequoia National Park. It had strong summer camp vibes and we loved that our 3 year old could explore the play spaces including basketball court and trampoline.
The meals provided included a variety of options and we're very generous, including providing a packed lunch for our time exploring the nearby national parks.
We loved our stay and would come back again.

I had my expectations super low after reading all the reviews but didn’t experience any of the negatives in the reviews. The furniture was so nice and room so spacious. Saved a ton of money and payed less than last time we came to see the big trees at a different place that was way smaller and not even close to as nice.

This is my first review, but I feel compelled to warn other...
This is my first review, but I feel compelled to warn other travelers. The place is completely overpriced with poorly maintained facilities. The room was dirty, with cobwebs everywhere. Worst of all was the noise: the air conditioning and the fridge were unbearable, and I had to turn the AC off just to get some rest. The staff was not welcoming at all. To make things even worse, we found a surprise “amenity fee” added to the bill, which had never been mentioned in the booking details and about which no one informed us. We tried to ask by email and phone why this fee was applied, but never received an answer. Not only that, but they even hung up on us without any explanation and then disconnected the line. Overall, it was a terrible experience for the whole family.

I love being in Porterville, going by Murry Park, Zalud Park...
I love being in Porterville, going by Murry Park, Zalud Park, the skatepark for the kids and Giovannies Pizzeria and Arcade, not to mention it has a good amount of shopping outlets for a fairly small town!! And even amid construction in streets, it is always easy to traverse around town!

Lone Pine is a small town that's close to the Manzanar...
Lone Pine is a small town that's close to the Manzanar Historic Site and the Mt. Whitney Fish Hatchery. You can also stop at the Cottonwood Kilns on your way in. It's got some good restaurants and shops and people are friendly. Seasons, The Merry Go-Round, and Alabama Hills Cafe are good places to eat and there are a couple of saloons in town as well, if that's your thing. Some beautiful views of the Eastern Sierras, too...
About a 4-hour drive from L.A. it's a nice place to visit and there are probably opportunities for hiking in the local mountains.

Not much to do in Lindsay, but it is close to the Sierra...
Not much to do in Lindsay, but it is close to the Sierra Nevada Mountains (Sequoia). We had a pretty good pizza at Tony's Pizza in Lindsay. My grandmother lived 50 years in Lindsay; my father was raised there, and I spent much time visiting in my youth. It was fun driving around and seeing my old haunts and seeing so much change since 50's, 60's, and 70's. The City Hall in Lindsay has been kept in pristine condition, a welcome reminder of this city in its heyday.

Very well-equipped house with very friendly host in a very quiet but remote region.
Need to drive thru' very winding country roads but scenery along the way is great. Need to prepare food, as nearest grocery store and restaurant are at least one hour drive away.

It was in a great location for us, the views were beautiful, the access was great - straight off the highway, the 'wigwam we stayed in was very comfortable, the people were very friendly and helpful. We had great food at the café, the pool was lovely (although we wish it opened a little earlier in the morning).
However we do have to mention the toilets. The ones we used were rough and ready but were mostly ok. However, of the 4, one was out of order and one was blocked and had no running water at the hand wash basin. We picked one that was clean and did work though .

Booked to stay in Independence as we wanted to visit...
Booked to stay in Independence as we wanted to visit Manzanar on our way south. But we wished we had gone further south to Lone Pine and then doubled back north in the morning as there was much more choice of accommodation in Lone Pine. Manzanar is worth visiting as is the Film Museum in Lone Pine.

Before our stay at the home, we visited Sequoua National Park and enjoyed the General Sherman sequoia tree, council hike and Hospital Rock. From there we drove to the property past the vast reservoir and through charming tiny towns. The winding road provided majestic views of the Sierra Nevadas as we passed by cattle farms and braked for colorful roosters, grouse and deer.
