Quietly elegant yet home-like, my experience of Palihouse was a delight. The staff are all—to a person— kind and welcoming, and the vibe is warm, familiar, well-curated and much like a club of which you’re a long-time, valued member. The room was very spacious, extraordinarily well-appointed, quiet, and comfortable. A private taste of SoCal at its best; I’ll definitely be returning.

As hoteliers/restaurateurs, we have a different and sometimes stricter perspective than others. I can only congratulate the hotelier here. We had room 320 and were completely satisfied. What a great room and the service was always unobtrusively nice and courteous. We have traveled halfway around the world but rarely have we stayed in such a great hotel. Congratulations! As there was not a hair in the soup to be found, we can wholeheartedly give a full score here...🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

This place is fantastic. Clean room with a very cozy bed. The location is amazing as it is close to lovely restaurants and the beach. They provided a bike for free (for 2h), which was great to discover the neighbourhood. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. The staff was really helpful and friendly.

Santa Barbara is beautiful and there are many things to do...

Santa Barbara is beautiful and there are many things to do when visiting, such as walk down the main street and shop, bike along beautiful bike paths and visit the old mission. The restaurants in the "Funk Zone" get very crowded, so FYI. We very much enjoyed a Santa Barbara local restaurant/bar called "Roy," not so much for the food, but for the ambience and live music.

We were actually working in Santa Barbara but all the rooms were booked up there maybe the last few days of our job and it was a good experience in Santa Barbara and in Carpinteria we stopped by a few stores while we were there and the workers were very friendly. Considering we weren't off until late like maybe 10:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m. and we felt very safe thank you

While the location is good, guests should be aware of...

While the location is good, guests should be aware of traffic noise. Room did supply earplugs and "white noise" machine but not expected at $400+ per night. Bed and pillows are way to soft. Of course I am 4 years older now.

It is good to visit once, it doesn't have a lot of things to do but it is relaxing and nice. The funk zone is really cool and you can spend a lot of time there. We also reserved a trolly tour which was really good.

Easy walk from Motel 6 on Carpinteria Street to restaurants...

Easy walk from Motel 6 on Carpinteria Street to restaurants and the beach. "The Spot" for burgers! Little Dom's for fancy feed. I walked my doggie in her stroller. Grocery store two blocks down the street. Not fancy digs. Just PEACE and QUIET. Nice pool too.

Santa Barbara is a beautiful small city on the coast with mountains behind. Good weather, walkable main street. Nearby Montecito and Summerland are lovely too. But accomodations are expensive throughout the area.

When I visit my daughter and grandson in Santa Barbara, I like to have my privacy so I stay here. The dog and i can walk to the beach boardwalk in 20 minutes. There's the tasty burger shack where we share! There are bathrooms. On the way to the beach you will find restaurants and shops. The old doggie is in a nice-sized stroller, so we can bring back goodies. Right next door to the Motel 6 on Carpenteria Street is a grocery store, dollar-type store, and Goodwill too! Have fun!
