CanadaWhat a gorgeous location. This hotel was the highlight of our trip to Maine. Beautiful ocean views from our balcony. We sat outside in November just to enjoy the ocean. The continental breakfast is an actual menu of fancy omlette's, breakfast sandwiches etc. The food was delicious and the bistro meal was super high end. Everything is so upscale and it's so close to main street. Absolutely loved it.

CanadaWe had no idea how beautiful this place was going to be until we arrived! The room, the balcony, the staff, the view, the free shuttle service were all exceptional. We fell in love with the hotel and the Island so much that we actually canceled our trip to Boston and stayed at the Atlanta Eyrie for the remainder of our honeymoon instead. All of the receptionists were incredibly accommodating and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone that wants to experience the beauty of Bar Harbor!!!

BelgiumWe booked this tiny cabin for 3 nights during november (during first snowfall of the year at Acadia, so it was chilly outside) and were very pleased with how cosy everything was! The heater was enough to get the cabin up to temperature (bathroom was a little cooler, but nothing a hot shower can't fix). The kitchen was véry well equiped, we had everything we needed and more.
The bed was very comfortabel en there is enough room to store luggage (no closet however). Check-in was easy with code lock.
This was a super charming way to visit Acadia, location was A++, would definitely recommend!

Each bedroom has a stunning bathroom and a big walk-in closet and a lovely balcony to enjoy the morning sun with a cup of tea. The beds are gigantic with super soft bedding, they are pure luxury! The hosts, Martha and Tim, are so welcoming, friendly and helpful with local knowledge of walks and places to eat. The breakfast is incredible, all home cooked and super tasty. We never wanted to leave.

NetherlandsWe stayed for 2 nights in another hotel in town. But as that hotel was extremely expensive due to memorial weekend, we switched to the villager motel. We were super happy we did. The room is a good size, the beds comfortable and the location to the restaurants and main attractions in town is unbeatable. The breakfast was good and exceeded our expectations, as there were more choices as we had with hotels during our trip. The receptionist was also friendly and the check in was smooth.

The central location of this hotel was perfect as we left our car there and walked everywhere in town.
The room was exceptional with a seperate sitting room and private outdoor space to relax after a long day of hiking.
The staff were all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the best hiking trails. They were always available for advice and tips. Althoug breakfast was not available, they provided everything necessary to start the day well like fruits, porridge and their freshly baked blueberry muffins.
We would definitely stay there again.

This property is a gem, with super comfortable beds in a very large room. The property is a short stroll down through town to the harbour. The included breakfast makes this offering even greater value. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I'd highly commend this property to any travellers.

The grounds were super quaint and comforting. The room was a little dated but everything felt clean and safe. We loved all the outdoor space on the on the hotel grounds and it was super easy to walk to everything in Bar Harbor.

Bar Harbor is a charming and picturesque town with plenty to enjoy when everything is open. However, if you’re visiting during the off-season, be sure to have a backup plan—many restaurants and shops are closed during this time. Unfortunately, most restaurant websites aren’t updated to reflect seasonal closures, so you may need to walk around and check in person, then pivot to another option if your first choice is closed.

Bass Harbor is a wonderful place to stay and experience all the surrounding area has to offer. We biked, kayaked, and hiked during the week. Bar Harbor is an easy drive and a great place to get a book, eat out, and shop.

Exceptional does not begin to describe this property.
Exceptional does not begin to describe this property. Is it a beautifully constructed and secluded cabin mirroring the owner’s memory of her childhood home on the West Coast of Ireland. Imaginatively furnished, it is the best equipped rental in which I have ever stayed. Far from the hustle and bustle but close to all of the major attractions: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, the Schoodic National Scenic Byway, Frenchman’s Bay and so much more.

Bar Harbor is beautfully located by the bay. It is set for tourism with numerous stores and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed eating at The Thirst Whale (the clam chowder was one of the best) and Geddy's.

It was quiet compared to Bar Harbor and very peaceful. There were many shops and a few restaurants. The marina was lovely. Bar Harbor and Acadia were just minutes away. I would stay in Northeast Harbor again.

Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor.
Southwest Harbor is much quieter than Bar Harbor. It is very walkable, with several restaurants and shops. It is a short drive to the Bass Harbor lighthouse and Acadia National Park. The city dock is open to the public, and you can get some good pictures of the harbor from the dock. I took my wife to the Red Sky restaurant for her birthday. It was very good.

The 2.5 hour guided bus tour of Acadia was very good (except for the young children that were on our tour). If you have a car, take a ride around the entire island Bar Harbor is located on. We spent 4 hours and drove 65 miles around the periphery of the island; the views were fantastic.

At 9:00 ,am we only had to.wait 5I MIn to be seated. Food prices were reasonable and the food is astounding! Tony, the guy in front. Was very friendly and remembered my name when we left.
