We had perfect weather considering it was the beginning of November. Most dining places were open even though we went mid week. We are't shoppers but we are explorers and this area has tons of places to visit and explore!

Get ready for a hair raising drive if you aren’t accustomed to driving on windy roads. The easiest way in off of Highway 1 is Highway 128 and it is breathtaking but very windy. But this is what makes Mendocino so special and preserved its timeless ways. You want an ocean hit with a mellow vibe then Mendocino is for you.

The location is great. Mendocino is close (10 minutes)? Great coffee shops and gift/craft stores. We broke up the drive by stopping at Goldeneye for a flight of wine and a cheese and cracker board. That made the drive so much easier.

Caspar is a small village equidistant from Mendocino and Ft.

Caspar is a small village equidistant from Mendocino and Ft. Bragg. It does have a very good restaurant open for lunch and then it's a bar and music venue. And there is electric car charging at the Community Center. It is clean, safe, and cute. There are walks you can take from the village and a beach. We love how quiet it is and we go on adventures and then return to rest and relax.

The city was ok. The ocean was fantastic.

The city was ok. The ocean was fantastic. I could've spent 2 nights there instead of one, but....it was a bit cold when we were there. We ate at a great restaurant called Mayan infusion. We enjoyed that. We enjoyed coffee at Starbucks. We loved glass beach. It was very interesting and fun to walk around on.

Wonderful place to relax and reinvigorate!

Wonderful place to relax and reinvigorate! Great walking town with easy access to the wild coast. High surf was particularly exciting. We stayed at the Headlands Inn. A beautiful old house that was well appointed, very clean and lovely staff. The breakfast was wonderful, accompanied by excellent coffee. We had a great dinner at Luna Trattoria after a nice aperitif and oysters at the McCallam House. A too short stay, but we enjoyed a beautiful drive home down Highway 1. The views are well worth the time, if you have it.

Had a lovely trip in Little River for Mother's Day weekend. Although the place we stayed didn't pass muster, this part of the coast delivered, as always, with gorgeous views, great dining, and friendly folk! Lots of dog friendly places to stay and done with beaches, trails and parks for exercise- 2 or 4 leg!

The ocean views were gorgeous and many places to access the coastal views. Many good seafood and other restaurants. One of my favorites was the NOYO grill with great views from 4 tiers. The Botanical Gardens were amazing and the Skunk Train rigt was a delight.

We loved it.

We loved it. We had a third night booked a little further north and my wife wanted to cancel and stay here. We've been going to the Central Coast around Cambria/Moonstone Beach to celebrate our Anniversary in November. It exceeded my expectations. This is our new go to spot. We enjoyed several beaches and trails. I don't think you can go wrong stopping at any of the ocean access points. We had dinner at Luna Trattoria in Mendocino and it was about as close to perfect as we've experienced in a restaurant in years!
