First, I made a trip out to the car around 2 am, and my card would not let me back in. I had to wake my husband up to open the door. We went through 6 cards and still the cards only worked once. The gal at the desk determined it was the battery and she assured us it would be fixed during the day while we were out. The problem was or ice chest was still in the room and now the door would not open at all, so we were forced to leave our ice chest and buy a new one. We get back to hotel, and we cannot get in our room, again. The gal at the desk for the night shift, was not aware of the issue as we could not get in our room AGAIN! We are tired and brought food from a restaurant and could not get in our room. We were forced to move rooms to the second floor, and guess what, the elevator is out of order. when we got in that room there were mens socks and under shirt on the floor. Bed sheets looked like they were slept in. rust in the tub. Had we not been so tired and our home a long drive, we would have left that night. We will never stay here again.

This is a quiet port in Texas, if you are looking for a spot to sit quietly by the water, reading and hanging with family and friends. Or other rental options would allow a large family gathering for a reunion or wedding. A small marina is located with additional rental options. Fishing is the past time.

It’s a small town but it’s very peaceful and the Town people were friendly and nice and they talk to you there’s antique shops and a books store with coffee on hand and books to buy and lotta History in that town if you want a Peaceful nice vacation Palacios is the place

Seadrift is a quaint but very small town without much to do...

Seadrift is a quaint but very small town without much to do other than fishing. It's a good jumping-off point for other nearby towns like Port O'Connor, Port Lavaca, Victoria, etc. It's quiet, peaceful. My mother lives here so we've experienced it for the last 20+ years, and not much has really changed.

The rooms were spacious and relatively quiet. No coffee in the room. Carpet was a bit yucky (felt sticky) but that could have been from the humidity. The king bed was comfortable and the sheets appeared to be clean. They do not give refunds if your stay is unexpectedly cut short.

Close to Sargeant & Matagorda beaches and of course my family! Booking.com site I will not use again because I screenshotted the booking page that said the room was refundable but when I went to cancel it to go back to Comfort, it was definitely not refundable. Buyer beware!

They need more activity for kids and family. They need to advertise more thing in the motel to do beside go to the beach. I been there twice and just noticed it was a movie next door. I could have went to movie instead of sitting in the room.
