The hotel is very centrally located in the Beacon Hill district of Boston. There are a wide range of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Boston Common and the shops on Newbury Street are also a short walk away. There is also the Massachusetts General Hospital/Charles Street T station right opposite the hotel. Although it was very centrally located, my room was very quiet. I also enjoyed my breakfast of scrambled eggs with toast. Staff were always very friendly and helpful with special mention given to manager Joyce, who made my stay a joy.

I really appreciated the fact that I forgot an European plug converter in my room and the staff kept it available for me until I returned in Boston and I was able to recover it. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Breakfast had numerous options.Coffee and tea available 24/7! Nice to visibly see cleaners and maintenance workers taking care of the hotel even the windows above the indoor pool. My wife and I liked everything about our stay there. We felt safe and would certainly stay there again if we get up that way. This hotel is a best kept secret!

Cape Ann Motor Inn was a very nice surprise on our road trip! Location is fabulous! We got to see a beautiful beach sunrise and sunset and a lovely moonrise! We couldn’t have asked for more! Complimentary breakfast was nice and cozy! We traveled with our 5 month baby and our stay was just perfect. The lady in the reception even lent us a screwdriver to replace the batteries of our son’s music device! Beds were comfortable and the rooms were warm (it was cold outside). The balcony though shared is lovely!

What I like about Boston is that it isn't a high-stress metropolis. It can feel like a large town, which is one of its best attributes, but at the same time it has plenty of big city things to do that range from light and fun to sophisticated and serious.

Great view of ocean, but not a lot to do at this location. We played on the beach and built sandcastles. Few good restaurants (including Kellys roast beef ), train behind hotel makes it easy to travel into boston for activities, but not much immediately around hotel.

Somerville is a very nice place in itself, and has easy public transport options to Boston. Just don't reserve a place through booking.com, because when you arrive at the address you might find, as I did, that the room doesn't actually exist.

Good location to visit on day trips to Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Provincetown, Newport, and of course Hyannis. Spent a week and got a feel for cape cod. Ate Italian, Irish and went to a tavern. Shops on Main Street were lovely. Easy access to ferries. Peaceful.

The historic atmosphere. The upper level rooms have spacious higher ceiling. Nice hot shower. Beds are comfortable enough. Room was very clean. The grounds are well kept and very nice. Restaurant is very good as well. Free morning coffee and baked goods in bakery also a nice touch.

It's my hometown so I am biased!

It's my hometown so I am biased! The Basketball Hall of Fame is wonderful to visit, even if you aren't a basketball fan. My great grandfather built the municipal group downtown Springfield which includes the Campanile - make sure you drive by it. Across the street is historic Old First Church built in 1819 - Daniel Webster lay in state there. It was my church and my husband and I and my parents were married there! Go up State Street to the Library and Museums, the Quadrangle - especially the George Walter Vincent Smith museum, a real gem, and the Dr Seuss statues, of course. Forest Park is a beautiful part to explore on Sumner Ave. In W. Springfield be sure to see a show at The Majestic Theater if possible - both local professional and NY actors are cast in productions. Beautiful old homes on Maple Street- make a right off of State Street before the museums & library to access it. Springfield is a good place to stay to do day trips to Quabbin Reservoir, Northampton with its wonderful shops and Smith College and even the Berkshires with the towns of Lenox and Stockbridge. Canyon Ranch Spa is in Lenox. Longmeadow is a beautiful town to visit just up 91 one exit. And in downtown Springfield on William St just between Columbus Ave and Main St is Frigo's - a "must go to" for a great Italian lunch to take out or grab a table there, there aren't many tables though! Bring home their bread crumbs and some special cheese! The MGM casino is there, but I'm not a gambler so don't go myself, but can be fun if you like that.

1 star ★☆☆☆☆ We had a very disappointing experience at both the Hilton Woburn hotel and its restaurant, Matadora. Matadora Restaurant: The food was bland and tasteless. My ribeye had no flavor at all, and the burgers made my daughter extremely sick with food poisoning, which is completely unacceptable. We asked to cancel a dish before it reached the table, and the waitress still insisted we had to keep it and ended up charging us for it anyway. Service was not friendly or attentive at all. We also mentioned we were celebrating my daughter’s 15th birthday, and there was no acknowledgment, no complimentary dessert, not even a simple “happy birthday.” I ordered a lychee martini, then a passion fruit martini, and the server just said they didn’t have it — without even checking with the bartender or offering a similar alternative. Zero effort in making the customer experience enjoyable. Hotel Snacks: The lobby snacks are outrageously overpriced. $18 for a horrible sandwich? It felt insulting for hotel guests. Hotel Overall: Very boring environment with nothing to do. The pool closes extremely early and the gym only has three machines, which is shocking for a hotel in this price range. No amenities that make the stay enjoyable or worth the money. Overall: ❌ Tasteless food ❌ Terrible service ❌ Food poisoning incident ❌ Overpriced snacks ❌ Nothing to do at the hotel ❌ Poor amenities We were expecting a special night for my daughter’s 15th birthday… and it was the total opposite.
