We stayed at Home2 Suites By Hilton Winter Haven and had an excellent experience, especially if you’re planning to visit Legoland, as it’s very close by. The staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and come with a small kitchen equipped with everything you might need, including a dishwasher. The hotel also has a very nice pool to relax in and a gym (which we didn’t use, but it looked well equipped). Breakfast was very good, though a bit limited in variety, as there was no fruit and the only milk alternative for those who are intolerant was almond milk. Still, we were satisfied. Plus, if you need anything else, there’s a Publix just a short walk away, which makes everything even more convenient. All in all, a fantastic stay, we were super happy with our experience and would definitely recommend it and stay again.

I had never stayed at a Staybridge suites hotel before and was positively impressed. The room was great, clean, comfortable, nice decoration, well equipped kitchen, the staff was very friendly, breakfast had several options to choose from. There was water, coffee and ice all day long and free laundry. Will be recommending and staying there again.

Good well appointed hotel, walking distance to local restaurants. Convenient free parking onsite. Helpful front desk, recommended a great restaurant (Harrys Seafood bar) where we had a great evening. We made this hotel our final stay in Florida, on route to Orlando MCO which was about 90 minutes drive away.

1. Central Florida location arrived w rental car from Int’l Airport - so, as well as enjoy the nearby 50th annual Sun ‘n Fun aviation show at KLAL, was easy to get to I-4 to invest a day at KSC on east coast and another day leisurely explore sunshine coast down to Passe a Grille, soak up sun & swim in the Gulf, as well as dine at The Hangar restaurant at KSPG before a sightseeing flight courtesy of a friend. Weedon Wildlife Nature Preserve SW of Tampa warrants a 1/2 day. 2. Setting. Relaxing. Cottages have treed lawn / lake view- many types of birds & ducks this time of year; a maintained dock from which to observe the sun- & catfish and more, also turtles and alligators. 3. Amenities- grateful for the pool for end of day swim; air conditioned cottage with wifi had everything I required; used fridge/stove/microwave, coffee filters. Host happily helped with routes to destinations and suggested a nearby family grocery market & takeout to which I returned a few times! Host family asked daily how the stay was going, if I had any needs or questions and responded!

One item to see in this area is the FREE Water Ski Show at...

One item to see in this area is the FREE Water Ski Show at Lake Silver in near by Winter Haven on the 3rd Saturday of the month at about 5pm put on by the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team and it is FREE Parking and FREE SHOW. This group puts on a great show and they do not get paid but for the Love of the Sport. Bok Tower is another must see. Rent a Jet Ski even if you never have. We did not even get wet. Not to mention all of the Mega Attractions near by.

Winter Haven Florida is an amazing city in Central Florida...

Winter Haven Florida is an amazing city in Central Florida whether you are here for watersports, or just for a holiday. I had dinner at Buffer City on Cypress Gardens Blvd. and I was surprised by the high quality of the food and service. You will love The Howard Johnson by Wyndam here in Winter Haven I cannot say enough about the service it wall excellent and will come back very soon...JP

If you can a better accommodation please do, this isn't a great motel to stay at. The rooms are very small, the overall atmosphere felt unsafe. If you just need a room for a few hours then this motel is for you.

Haines City is a small suburban community in Florida.

Haines City is a small suburban community in Florida. Our luxury vacation home was extremely beautiful in the safe gated golf community of Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. The only draw back is the distance from Orlando attractions such as Disney. Traffic is grid-lock and takes just over an hour to reach Disney. However, a positive is that Legoland is quite close (25 mins by car) for kids to enjoy. As well, the personal pool is quite a highlight for children to daily enjoy. The adults have the highlight of the scenic Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club.

We traveled to Lake Wales to visit Bok Tower Gardens. We had a wonderful time—the gardens are beautiful, the bells sounded wonderful, and the tour of the house was very interesting. We stayed overnight and visited a few museums the next day. It was a very enjoyable visit!

I was preparing for some exams, so studying was my major...

I was preparing for some exams, so studying was my major concern. Did not enjoy Dundee as I should have wanted. But if I get a chance I would love to return to really enjoy Dundee. I used microwave dinners most of the time. I had a rental car and moving around was not a problem. Sorry that I cannot give any information about Dundee because my nose were in the books studying.

I was in Lakeland to visit my Mother who is in Hospice there...

I was in Lakeland to visit my Mother who is in Hospice there on North 98. So I did not see much while I was there. In the past I have enjoyed downtown Lakeland - many good restaurants and shops and the South side of Lakeland has many restaurants, hotels, shopping and movies. I have enjoyed that area a great deal in the past.

Literally crack head vill I was scared to even go to my car as crack heads are everywhere. Heard the place had a remodel. I’m not sure how electrical units hanging/falling out of the walls.. the walls were literally all different colors with peeling. The place is ran down felt like I was in a trap house. I couldn’t even take a shower the place was flithy

Central location to many parks and places to see.

Central location to many parks and places to see. If NOT rush hour, about 45 minutes to Tampa and an hour plus to Orlando/Disney Land. Interstate road to these areas have tolls. But only $1.50 to $3 each way. Lakeland has at Mirror Lake a nice park/garden area with great area for children. Mikes and Catfish Country Restaurants (especially the catfish one) we liked and would definitely recommend.

The use of my relative's community pool was excellent, very well kept. Restaurants and stores were readily available. Florida drivers can be terrible and rude to those with an out-of-state license plate, but navigating the city went well. I would do things differently next time, but I am not sure that there is anything I would avoid.
