I was greeted at my late arrival by Nolan who was professional yet friendly. The hotel was modern yet cheerful & colorful. The room was nicely organized and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the blackout curtains very effective (I slept until 10:30 & only b/c my son texted me!). Liked the later check-out (noon), otherwise I may not have been able to sleep-in.

I stayed in Kal-Zoo for two periods, and only visited the location close to the Train station and nearby school. It is a nice little town with good public transportation support (bus). This town, although quite remote compared to other US big cities, I do enjoy the serenity when walking down the street, with very few cars on roads most of the time.

Holland is a beautiful place to visit.

Holland is a beautiful place to visit. The streets were a bit confusing, but we managed. Little expensive. We were right in Holland, and as crazy as it is we couldn't find Lake Michigan !!!!! Whoever designed those streets must have had the plans upside down !!!! So after this last trip I've seen enough. That's all folks !!!

I would like to point out that the ladies who work there do...

I would like to point out that the ladies who work there do a great job. They know it’s not the best place to stay, but they go out of their way to assist. They deserve the credit of anything good about this hotel. We said we would see about coming again, but it will have to be a better place.

Love New Buffalo Michigan!

Love New Buffalo Michigan! Great Italian restaurant on Whitaker Street and red arrow highway. Stray Dog has good food and a wonderful second story outdoor patio and bar, overlooks marina and the lake. Nancy's has very good chicken tenders, ice cream, hot fudge sundaes, cheese curds, and super sweet staff! WEKO beach in Bridgman is about 20 min north, loved that beach but more than New Buffalo beach. Highly recommend doing sunsets there, Taps is played every sunset, very lovely, even lyrics sung the night we were there. Beach is very clean, well patrolled, decent bathrooms. Scoops ice cream in Bridgman is great!! Only open after 3p tho.

South Haven was beautiful!

South Haven was beautiful! We were there during the week so it wasn't very crowded and it was during off season (September). Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Great shopping and beautiful beaches!

We live in IN & visit Michigan often. St Joseph,

We live in IN & visit Michigan often. St Joseph, South Haven & Saugatuck are favorite spots we have been visiting for many years. Michigan is so clean & beautiful. Papa Vino's, Clementines & The Butler are favorite restaurants. Love shopping in all three places. My husband loves golfing in MI. We love to do the cruises on lake MI in the sumer.

Great little town!

Great little town! Walk to the beach, carousel, shops and dining. The Lighthouses along Lake Michigan were nice and the parks in the area have good walkways and plenty of benches. Definitely did not get to see or experience everything this trip, so we need to return.

There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking...

There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance in the town. Wicks Park Bar & Grille had plenty of outdoor seating and really good food, Back Alley Pizza Joint had really good pizza and The Old Boat House had seating on the deck along the Kalamazoo river, amazing food and drinks. The people were friendly and there was plenty of parking along the streets and public restrooms that were clean and well located.

They count every old dingy towel.

They count every old dingy towel. I requested fresh towels and housekeeping came to the door with a basket and counted 1,2 towels out & then flipped her hands as if she was counting $ at the casino. Additionally, I requested late checkout . She said 11:30 was the latest. It was 11:35 & The manager lady stood by my door as I was taking my belongings to the car and yelled at me , “You have to go now” A lot of soiled smelling carpet. Outdated hotel. You can do better especially with Customer Service.

Kalamazoo or KZOO as local here refer to it is great small city. The people are pleasant. I enjoyed my interactions at West Michigan University and at the KZOO College. Many restaurants offer quality food.
