We loved that there was free coffee/hot chocolate bar 24/7 (not that we needed it...it was just nice that it was there!). Our kids loved the pool and made some friends there, too. The breakfast had a mix of hot/cold items as well as gluten free options.

I’m a fan of this old shoe located conveniently off I-76 in East Harrisburg. It’s nothing to look at outside and it attracts its fair share of guest loiterers on the forecourt during summer months. The interior hallways are dingy and the worn carpet with fluorescent pod lights make them look even more so. However, once you’re in your room it’s a very clean and cozy space. In fact, having stayed at 5 Red Roof Inns during my 3-week trip from Europe to the U.S. I realize this is part of Red Roof Inn’s business model. By keeping the outside drab while investing in the rooms themselves, they’re able to offer up comfortable beds, a deep bath, a nice TV a well-lit desk and a proper-sized refrigerator with microwave and safe and all for $55 a night. You’re not analyzing the exterior stairwells or parking lot gloss at 3 AM anyway – you’re sleeping snug and comfortable as you should be, and I have even managed to net rooms for $40 or $45 through on-line booking sites last-minute (note: I have stayed at the East Harrisburg Red Roof Inn 16 times in the past 5 years, and on this trip I also stayed in their properties at Danville, Erie, Clearfield, Lancaster and Oxford Valley and found them all to be excellent value for money). Another benefit to the East Harrisburg Red Roof Inn is its proximity to Gilligan’s restaurant and bar, a favorite of mine, You literally walk across their lawn to access this friendly “multiplex” eatery with its bar and table seating, full menu of classics, good music, pool, darts, in-booth TVs and much else for the weary traveler who wants a small dose of conviviality before bedding down.

Decent access to the Hershey attractions. Willingness of the staff to be as helpful as possible, including taking my ice chest freezer packs and personally freezing them for me. They also called me promptly upon departure to let me know I had left a bag in the room, but when I authorized them to open it, turned out it was empty! Point is though, they called promptly which would have allowed me to go back to retrieve it had it been necessary! Also, this is a one story motel allowing easy access to the rooms.

Location was convenient, breakfast was superb, and the hosts were very accommodating. The room was homey and beds, comfortable. As a bonus, the hosts have placed a lot of thoughtfully collated material about the area in the rooms (at least in mine) and have put games and amusements throughout the inn. The parking was convenient and easy to use. If I were to be back in Hershey, PA, I would go back to the 1825 Inn in a second.

The Capitol iw well worth the trip thought guided tours should be without cryign and screaming babies in arms! Should limit it to 5 years of age and older. Civil War Museum is magnificent, well done, well coordinated, comprehensive and heartbreaking. Not enoujgh of Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.Stage Museum adjacent to Capitol is conspiculously absent of any information on James Buchanan, the only President from Pennsylbvania. If it's really a STATE museum, he houjld have been included in some detail. Surprised there was noting on Pennsylvania Railroad. Uber service is terrific,street maps wold be helpful for walking, showing restaurants, shops, etc.

Hershey is a great place to visit.

Hershey is a great place to visit. So many attractions close by...the Hershey Museum, Hershey Chocolate World, Hershey Park, the Butterfly Gardens and Botanical Gardens and more. Plus there are great places to see that are only a short drive away...Gettysburg, Lancaster, Sight and Sound Theater just to name a few.

Not much to like. The breakfast offering was pitiful. Creamer for the coffee was coffeemaker. No half and half available. Yuck. Been staying at various places over the past 2 years while showing my dog. This wasn't the least expensive, but definitely the least comfortable

I visited Hummelstown as part of our summer vacation June, 2023 to Hershey Park. The hotel was very reasonable priced and located approximately 5 to 10 minute drive to Hershey Park. We not only had a great time at the Park, but we also enjoyed visiting the town of Hummelstown, PA. We drove through the city and enjoyed a taste of ice cream at the Diner on Main St. In addition, we enjoyed the scenery. We discovered the history of Hersheypark at the Historical Museum. We encountered friendly people throughout the town. Hummelstown is a quaint small town that I so enjoyed visiting.

We only stayed one night. Had an early flight out of MDT to Chicago. But we did have dinner at the Tattered Flag on Union St in Middletown. Really enjoyed the menu and beer selections. Cool venue.

Civil War museum was really moving and tugged at the heart...

Civil War museum was really moving and tugged at the heart strings. Visited the Doll museum and met the friendly owner, Miss Sue. A great experience. A very nice city to visit with Hershey Park not far away, the Susquahana River right there. The Weivers Lebanon bologne near Lancaster is to die for! 3 B Ice cream cones ....YUM!! Taj and Isaac at the Ruby Tuesday next door to our Hilton Harrisburg-East Hershey Hotel knew how to treat customers, great guys to know! A great place to visit and base your outings from. I'd do it again in a heart beat!!

The staff at Giant Center parking were awesome! The lady turned off her green light and helped me through the app to the QR Code. No rushing. She was calm, very nice, and helpful. Tram operators were great! Happy, enjoyed their jobs and were informative. Staff in Chocolate World were friendly and pleasant. Just all-around a nice experience. Definitely will be back.

Big rooms, comfortable beds, very clean, bathroom could have been lighted better, shower nice with good pressure, most of the staff was very friendly, breakfast was good and fresh, great location, and even had an area to purchase snacks and such at the check in counter. Rooms were very clean. Bob Evans right up the street for an excellent breakfast option, and Rex Robin right near Hersheypark, which is close too.
