So much to see and do. Georgia aquarium is a must. Atlanta sightseeing tour was a great way to see the city and learn about the history. The Varsity is a must for casual food. It was easy to park the car and never move it again until we left- walking and public transportation easy. A Gone with the Wind fan must go to Marietta to the museum. Marietta square is amazing with so many eclectic restaurants and shops. Kennesaw Battlefield National Park is also a must for civil war history buffs.
It is just breath taking. The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds are beautiful, all the little shops offer unique experiences and the locals are some of the nicest people I've ever met !
A lovely place Savannah, stunning gardens squares filled with the most beautiful of houses, many still lived in as such. An impressive renown Art School, really informative museums, greats oysters and all very laid back. A feeling of happiness pervades. Easy and friendly with a hint of being a Southern City, although tough licensing as Bible Belt in Georgia
Milledgeville was previously the capital of Georgia so is full of history. There is a beautiful walk along the Onocee River and plenty of eating places to enjoy a meal on the high street. Memory Hill cemetery is worth a visit.
Atlanta has enough to do for a four-day City break. More than that and you need a car to start exploring further afield. is clean, there is little pollution, and everyone is really friendly and helpful. It feels like a happy city. There is a lot of regeneration going on, so there is a feeling of an up and coming venue to visit. Best purchase was the Citypass, which gives you access to five of the attractions and saves you money on the entrance fees. The MARTA Transport system is easy to use - bit like the Oyster card, you get a breeze card when you arrive at the airport, and just top up as you need to use it. Each train journey costs $2.50. Can recommend visiting the Coca-cola, Georgia Aquarium, Center for Human and Civil Rights, and CNN tour. The college football hall of fame is almost certainly good if you understand the sport! Lots of great places to eat, and much less expensive than more major cities. Alcohol is pricey though.
Have always traveled to Atlanta for a short get aways. Atlanta has that “big city yet laid back” feeling. Our favorite haunts are great workout places like Jeanne’s Body Tech, Antique shops such as Paris on Ponce and American Period Furniture. Phipps and Lenox Malls, Boxwoods florist and gift shop, Felinis Pizza, Mary Macs meat and three downtown and Henri’s Bakery. The Fox Theater and the Georgian Terrace are a whole other adventure. You can walk to some pretty neat bars and restaurants in midtown, without moving your car. Buckhead is where the big malls and high end shopping is found.
The motel was convenient for my visit to Dallas Georgia.plenty of stores and restaurants close by. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I have stayed there before and will stay again when I come back this way.
Visiting friends - never been there before but it is well placed to access Alabama (our next destination) and it has a Wal-Mart, Lowes, Cracker Barrel, Shoney’s for a GREAT breakfast buffet and many other shops/eating places. Convenient stopover if travelling through Georgia to Alabama as we were
Columbus is an underdog in Georgia for tourists, there some nice things to do, like the infantry museum or the cival war museum. The riverwalk is also nice. For a short trip a nice city.
The hotel is aging and the paint on the ceiling in the bathroom doesn't hide the mold. The employees behind the registration desk were not friendly or welcoming. It is a low price hotel very convenient to Six Flags over Georgia. I would recommend the hotel if you only want a clean room with few amenities.
Great location to the best attractions in Atlanta - less than 15 15-minute walk to the Georgia Aquarium & World of Coke. The hotel provides a free shuttle for guests (which will drive up to a 3-mile radius from the hotel), which I use to get to the closest MARTA station. Breakfast was great and included in the price of the room. I had a king suite - very spacious, comfortable and pleasant! Front desk staff were super friendly and willing to provide local recommendations .
Savannah
Excellent location although a wee bit of a trek to the car park when managing luggage. Although we could have used the back entrance it was not easy to negotiate after a long drive from Albany, Georgia in rainy weather. Very good communication regarding key codes and instructions. We had a problem with plumbing, reported it and it was rectified very quickly. Great apartment with all amenities you could need. Will certainly use Sonder again. This was our first experience.
I had a great experience! This hotel exceeded my expectations! The entire hotel is clean, as it's a newer hotel, and the room was amazing. The hotel is located in a quiet area with plenty of eateries. Zach went above and beyond to accommodate me. The best part was the price, it was cheaper than the Motel 6 just down the road, and they had real breakfast (waffles, yogurt, cereal, latte, espresso, juice). I found my go to hotel when I'm in Georgia!
After having stayed in many other hotels just outside bigger cities in Georgia and in Alabama the last month - all situated so close to the highways that you felt staying ON the highway, this hotel also is situated close to the highways north of Columbus - but in very nice and quite surroundings. You can take an evening walk in the peaceful area - I really enjoyed it. You can also sit ourside - or take a tour in the pool.
The front desk receptionists were very professional & kind upon check-in & check-out. The grounds, lobby, halls, and room were all nice & clean & the mattress was more than comfortable. The A/C in the room was very cold, which was great for the Georgia heat. I always check reviews before choosing hotels, & the property lived up to positive reviews given by previous guests.
The room was clean and the common areas were also clean. Nothing extra special, but you wouldn't expect this for this price point. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillows could be better. The air conditioning system worked well, so the temperature was good. I also appreciated having a small refrigerator in the room. Very convenient to the Georgia National Fairgrounds.
The Hampton Inn on Jekyll Island, Georgia, is a luxury hotel with a special relationship to the beautiful beach and ocean that it faces. The boardwalk to the beach, meandering through what appears to be a thick grove of laurel, is a most unusual and beautiful path to the sea. It also shows a sensitivity to Georgia's efforts to protect its dunes and marsh lands.
The hotel's location is excellent. In 5 minutes, you can walk to the Olympic Park, Georgia Aquarium, and the World of Coca-Cola. The nearest subway station, which takes you directly to the airport, is also 5 minutes away. In front of the hotel is a streetcar station (Carnegie at Spring). You can use that to go to the MLK historic site.
Tybee Island
Comfy clean apartment with a quick walk to the beach. Great continental breakfast but you have to drive to the main hotel to get it because there's no office at The Georgianna...juice, waffles, fruit, milk, coffee, microwave biscuits and muffins. Nice pool and very quiet at night. I would stay there again for sure.
Wingate Hotel was the best place I stayed at in Georgia! Big Facts!!!! You were a big blessing in disguise after La Quinta cancelled my reservation for no reason. I'll always stay at a Wingate now! The manager I spoke to was a gem!! I'M Just grateful! Thanks for the Dove products too!! I'm a happy camper!
The room was overall great and the service was excellent! I was in the process of moving from Columbus due to a fire and this was one of the places we stayed, in fact, the last place we stayed in Georgia and I will say this, every time I go back there I will surely stay at this hotel. You guys were perfect.
Hotel Indigo in Athens Georgia is a classy hotel full of style. It’s in a great location, within walking distance from downtown. I stayed in one of the penthouses on the top floor. Great room, again much attention is paid to the design of the room. I really felt at home. Staff at the hotel is friendly.
The room was very comfortable, it had everything you needed. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good. The hotel is located next to Helen, so, you can walk there, and in front of the hotel is the Georgia Mountain Coaster, so you have a good attraction there for you to have fun.
I've mada a big mistake by making the reservation to Georgia Roswell. The reception guy Nechamia cancelled our mistaken reservation there and resceduled it to Roswell NM. Everythinf went smoothly and quick. The hotel is new. All facilities working fine. Highly recommended.
My fiance and I was on a day trip from Augusta visiting friends and family when we decided to stay for the night. Everything was awesome from the staff to the rooms and breakfast. I will highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family when visiting the state of Georgia.
Location was excellent as it is very close to the Avalon Center. Great walking area and close to our children who live in Alpharetta. Will continue to stay at this hotel as we visit Georgia a few times a year and use this hotel as our home away from home.
Absolutely nothing, you fucked up my reservation. I booked a hotel in Columbus Ohio only to get to the hotel and find out that you booked me in a hotel in Columbus Georgia! You ruined a perfect weekend with my wife and I will never use booking.com again
Great solution if you need a place close to Georgia Tech. The hotel is easily reachable from the freeway, and it is in walking distance from the Georgia Tech campus and Midtown Atlanta. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The price was very reasonable.
We have never stayed at a SureStay Plus Hotel and while in Georgia we found this hotel! It is very clean, staff is friendly. The room was very spacious and bathroom also spacious. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area again.
We didn't stay long enough to get the proper enjoyment out of the facilities. We stayed one night, traveling home from Georgia. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, especially the bathroom. The setting is peaceful and beautiful.
