Staying at the hotel is not just functional or practical - it becomes part of the experience of being on holiday in Detroit. It is the kind of builing you'd want to visit or wander around in when exploring the city, so being able to stay there overnight as part of a city trip is just fantastic. And as a hotel it is top notch. The corner room I had was massive, with high ceilings, and very luxurious. Given that still larger rooms are available., I suspect it would be a great hotel for a family stay. The room was also very quiet - you see the city but do not hear it at all. Check in and check out were a breeze. It is centrally located and close to public transport, so perfect as a base to explore the city.

Close to expressway and the airport. Price was great and staff was very friendly. Snack machine was expensive and poorly stocked. Room was more than a little uncomfortable being it too along time to marm it up from 58°.

To Whom It May Concern,

To Whom It May Concern, I hate to say this because I have stayed here before, but the state of this hotel during my recent visit was absolutely disgusting. There is an urgent need for proper management. My room had no towels—none. The pool looked like a filthy, neglected circle, and the lobby floor was so dirty it was embarrassing. This place is a huge mess, and it’s clear that standards have completely dropped. Fix this immediately.

I was skeptical when I read the reviews before booking but...

I was skeptical when I read the reviews before booking but the pictures looked nice so I gave them a chance. We checked in headed downtown Detroit for the draft came back with some dinner and a COCKROACH came running towards me. We then searched the room and found MANY dead ones along with a trap hidden behind the refrigerator. It was absolutely disgusting. I asked for my money back and said I would rather sleep in my car!

Convenient breakfast in the morning for a fee. Great location you are literally wishing 10 minutes of any store or restaurants. The decor was extremely old and chipped room needs renovation as everything was dated. You could tell there have been zero upgrades or renovations for many years. Hotel in general was modern and nice rooms lack the attention the lobby and public areas possessed. Overall I give it a 6/10. The food was delicious.

The KFC in Auburn Hills on N.

The KFC in Auburn Hills on N. Opdyke street was really rude, but the chicken was great. We also ate at Jollibee's the food was ok the staff was friendly. We shopped at the Walmart in Rochester Hills the 2 young ladies that was signing people up for Walmart deliveries was really nice and helpful. We watch the fireworks from S. Lapeer Rd.

This is my third time staying at this facility and I've enjoyed being here every time. Everything is clean they have hot breakfast. Might not be much but hey at least it's free. I would suggest staying here. Centered around a lot of restaurants, stores the mall and movie theater.

Troy is a nice area with plenty of shopping and restaurants. It is a great place to stay if you want to explore the area and not stay in busy Detroit. Also, if you are going to music events at Meadowbrook or pine knob, as it is not very far with more options available.

Hello my name is Tiara Weems and I am currently a guest at Homewood Suites. Upon arrival my stay has not been okay for me. 1) I booked for a Studio accidentally (wanting a One Bedroom) . I understand this was my fault and I was unable to get a refund and go to another room due to me booking through a 3rd company site. 2) However upon entry to my room . The room was not as clean how it should’ve been (from my prior visit) crumbs, trash in waste basket, dirty counter tops. 3) I tried to overlook it and enjoy my stay/birthday weekend but the jacuzzi has been extremely cold (one of my most important AMENTIES). 2 of your guest (Morriseia and Zak) took a look and went into the boiler/mechanical room on 2 separate days and still a cold jacuzzi. 4) Breakfast is suppose to be served from 7am-10am on Weekends but breakfast was stopped at 9:30. 5) I have had to get FOUR room keys remade . None of these keys work and I am currently locked outside of my room. One of the workers used an emergency override but that doesn’t work and she has to call maintenance (which is not here on Sundays). This has been a very unpleasant and very disappointing stay for me . For myself to be a returning guest a lot I feel this will be last stay and I would also like these problems to be addressed.

The only thing that is good about the place is the staff.

The only thing that is good about the place is the staff. Everything was out dated in the room window was open. Smelled like weed. Curtains was ripped. Just a dirty place. We couldn't even find a different place to stay because of football game. Otherwise we would have left. Bed skirts was stained and torn.
