This place deserves more than 3 stars! Me and my partner had a perfect stay here. It is perfectly located on a hill with being 15 minutes away from Arches NP Visitor Center and 1/ 1,5 hour Canyonlands NP / Dead Horse Point SP 🙏 (and even more stuff being around). We stayed here durning End of July and did hiking in de morning/ early afternoon and chilled at the pool area in the later afternoon, which was a perfect balance. The kitchen became super handy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If the weather conditions were better, by that meaning not hitting the triple digits, you could be able to walk to the city Center of Moab. All in all, it was the perfect stay for us!

During our road trip we made a 3 day stop in Moab and stayed at the Sun Outdoors in an Airstream. Check-in was smooth, polite and courteous. The "Airstream" was pretty new and equipped with everything you need. We also had a larger one which had 2 double beds and a bunk bed. Since there were only two of us, we had plenty of space. On the terrace in front with the Adirondack Chairs you can relax perfectly. There is a grill, which could be operated with a wood fire, which we did not use. The location, between Arches NP and Moab, although located on a road, was absolutely quiet and relaxing. If you book accommodation directly in Moab on the main commercial street, the traffic and hustle and bustle can be quite annoying and noisy. There is a pool on site, but it's very small for the complex, as lodges, RV sites, and tent sites are also rented out. There are a total of 8 "Airstreams" with the associated parking space. The "Airstream" was very clean, the shower and toilet work smoothly, and the large fridge with a large freezer and gas stove allow you to live completely self-sufficiently. Since we liked it so much on the first day, we immediately extended another day on site, since the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. "Sun Outdoors, Moab" is an absolute recommendation and we would book it again at any time. LG from Germany!

Lots of things to do in Moab even in the winter.

Lots of things to do in Moab even in the winter. Plus not many people. Lots of businesses still open to rent or go touring on your own. Unlimited hiking too. Plus you have Arches only 5 miles away and you don’t need a reservation in the winter! I ate at Moab Diner for breakfasts and dinners. Right next door. Across the street is a delicious Mexican restaurant Fiesta Mexicana.

There isn't a town center, but it was the perfect spot between Monticello and Blanding. Not much was open in March in Monticello and only one place named Yaks serves breakfast in Blanding. Many more options for other meals in Blanding including a darling ice cream shop. We loved touring the working Cedar Mesa Pottery shop there and finding great deals on their seconds. And there is a hike to 5 Kiva Pueblo ruins some of our group enjoyed.

Mt. Peale Country Inn is REMOTE, and just what we wanted. Set amid forested mountains and meadows, it's perfect for star gazing and vegging out. In the mornings and evenings, deer and jack rabbits wander right up to the viewing deck. The spacious common rooms let us mingle with other guests or just do our own thing. Amanda and her daughter are attentive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more. We're returning next spring and bringing a friend with us!

This was a really nice respite after a long day of driving from ID. Green River itself is pretty desolate, but the motel made up for the long journey. Monticello is the best base to visit The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. It takes about an hour to get to the visitor center - if you do not make any stops on your way. But the surrounding nature is wonderful, so you probably make lots of stops to take photos. The road into the national park in Indian Creek Canyon is very scenic. Monticello is a small and quiet town. There's nothing to do there except to spend your night. There are two pizza saloons (the medium pizza costs $15), a Mexican restaurant which had a growing line of customers in the evening and a Thai restaurant which is probably the most expensive in town (minimum $20 for a meal, no drinks). Its worth to go and have a look at a Mormon temple on the edge of town - it is beautiful.
