Great place, cool interior design - functional and modern but yet with some really nice and surprising details. Friendly and helpful staff. We were on the 15th floor with a great view, but we never had to wait long for the elevators. Beds were really comfortable and the bathroom/shower practical and of good quality. Valet parkong is no bargain. We parked at Giants parking lot A just across the street (purchased the ticket ahead online) and used Uber to get around town. We would go back anytime.

This place is called H by Hospitality for a reason, the staff were amazing, and very welcoming at 2 AM in the morning when we arrived and they even offered us a late check out. The room was great and decorated with flair. The next morning the place was buzzing and we were met with the same warmth and hospitality as the night before. A place to come back to.

FAQs about hotels in California

The American Dream

From the searing depths of Death Valley to the snow-capped peaks of the Lake Tahoe mountains, California is a wonderful US state that sums up the American Dream. Nowhere is this more evident than Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood and many stars who grace its red carpets.

In the south-west, Anaheim has a great range of Californian hotels near Disneyland where the magic of the movies comes to life. Sun-drenched San Diego, located close to the Mexican border in the state's south-western tip, is a popular spring break destination as is Palm Springs in a valley surrounded by rugged mountains.

In the well-known wine region of the Napa Valley the vineyards produce some fantastic wines, while Monterey is best known for its spicy cheese and the beautiful coastline that becomes the Big Sur coastal drive. Another driving adventure is the fabled Route 66 and parts of it pass through California, ending at Santa Monica pier.

Along the coast is beautiful Santa Barbara, and further north San Francisco is home to a good proportion of Californian hotels with indoor pools on Booking.com. The Golden Gate city is set around an exclusive bay which ends at Silicon Valley in San Jose, while famous Berkeley University is just across the water. The stunning natural beauty of Yosemite National Park is further east, while Sacramento is to the north-east.

So much to see and do in Los Angeles!

So much to see and do in Los Angeles! Great food- try "Formosa" for great vintage vibe and fabulous Chinese food. Also try "Muso and Franks" -great food and vibe! Both are Great for people watching. Took a driverless car "Waymo" several times- really fun! Because of the rainy weather, we visited several museums, The Broad, the Getty. Went to the movies. The food scene in LA is the best! And an endless number of fun bars to choose from. The airport is about 45 minutes from downtown LA. This trip was only the east side of LA, not the beaches, and not the traditional attractions. (Universal, etc.)

I thought the price to DisneyLand was extremely excessive, $40 for parking and $224/ person to only get access to half of the park for one afternoon Then I feel DisneyLand isn't about happiness or fun for the kids, it's about the money. After paying this excessive price, they offer a higher price ticket for wealthy people to for a VIP ticket... they get to cut in front of everyone else, which means our money isn't good enough . And then I asked for help from 5-6 employees on the street with brochures and they were rude and all but one were unhelpful.

Just one question.

Just one question. What was that loud noise that almost shook the room every 5 minutes that sounded like a jet engine near our room until 10:30 pm? Went to Bali Hai for brunch. Lovely walk alongg the harbor before 11:00 am checkout.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is spectacular!

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is spectacular! Give your self a good 3 to 4 hours to explore at your leisure. Our grandson (age 2) couldn't get enough of it. He also thoroughly enjoyed the "Dennis the Menace" Park. The Cannery which is next door to the Aquarium is fun place to browse and enjoy lunch at one of the nearby restaurants. Fisherman's Wharf has turned into a tourist trap over the years so I would not recommend it.

South Lake Tahoe is one of the most gorgeous places on earth. It is so sad that the Internet and websites like Booking .com have taken over your ability to find accomodations from real people and good old fashioned ways of getting a good room to enjoy. They are passing off these dumps and charging outrageous nightly fees for their greedy ploys

We went to be able to see and walk to the fireworks in Old Sac. It was a bucket list thing for me. However the fireworks were only 5 minutes and very underwhelming. Fun atmosphere in Old Sac with live music and happy people. We had dinner at Fujii's restaurant off Broadway and had a delicious meal. Ubering home from the hotel was very easy!

Santa Barbara is beautiful and there are many things to do when visiting, such as walk down the main street and shop, bike along beautiful bike paths and visit the old mission. The restaurants in the "Funk Zone" get very crowded, so FYI. We very much enjoyed a Santa Barbara local restaurant/bar called "Roy," not so much for the food, but for the ambience and live music.

This property is a total piece of crap.

This property is a total piece of crap. It’s just worn out the doors don’t don’t even fit into the frames bugs and including even snakes could actually cross through the front door. They made us do a pretty good job of trying to keep them clean, but to be honest, you can’t clean something that’s 70 years old. It hasn’t been taken care of to make matters worse. The staff is just so underpaid and so under trained they have no idea what they’re doing they and there’s a manager who is so stretched between three properties at the same owns and she doesn’t know where they’re head on or off. It’s just a really really bad situation all the way around I will never ever step for that place again and I don’t and I recommend that no one else does. It’s just disgusting and it’s it’s just a horrible experience. I mean everything about it from start to finish this horrible
