Really liked staying here. We had lovely rooms, we could walk to several restaurants in the evening (we didn't want to get back in the car so this was big), and a lovely pool (it wasn't very large but it was enough to move around).

I was on a solo cycling trip across the USA and needed a cheap hotel (2star) to match my budget. I had stayed in a few and knew what to expect …. Or so I thought … this hotel was by far the best ‘cheap hotel’ I had stayed in on my 1200 mile cycling trip and better, by far. I even had to ask the owner why it was only 2 Star !! The room was spotless and comfortable and not worn out and tired like other cheap hotels. There was even a pool and breakfast was substantial and good. I’ve given this hotel a 10 rating because it was such a surprise to get such value and the staff were polite and efficient. Thank you for a great nights sleep, a hot bath and clean facilities 🙏 Rich. www.rapidrich.co.uk

Very friendly staff. Very good location 5 minutes' walk from downtown Frankfort. Room is spacious and comfortable. Good wifi in room. The reception area is beautiful and very nice to sit in and relax. Definitely better than what I expected from a 3-star hotel.

Simple but great. Warm dish taste good and Coffee was great in the morning. Bourbon bar is amazing and history of that building is unbelievable. I'm 100% sure that next time I travel to Kentucky and Bardstown area, I stay in Tallbot Tavern Inn.

We were there less than 24 hours.

We were there less than 24 hours. In that time I was impressed and delighted with several places.... Our Hotel=Home2Suites Downtown Louisville NuLu (Lovely hotel, and the next 2 places are walkable, and the Palace is a short Uber away) The Last Refuge...don't miss this amazing bar/restaurant! (and Heaven's Door) I won't give away the details. Just go. The Pasta Garage (Cute place with yummy Italian food) Louisville Palace (Absolutely awesome)

The staff were very good, polite, and helpful. The rooms were great, and the hotel has had extensive renovations done inside. The bed was very comfortable, . There was a Cracker Barrel a couple of hundred yards from the Hotel, which made eating dinner very easy. The downside of my experience with the Hotel was that they still have renovations ongoing, so there was no dining room for breakfast. Breakfast was a brown bag to go with a breakfast sandwich, a snack bar, and a piece of fruit. I understand renovations have to be done, but this should have been made apparent when booking.

Bardstown is lovely and has lots to offer from the history of Stephen Foster & other museums to local distilleries & restaurants. You can even take a scenic ride on a train through the Burnham Forest. Plenty of things to do in town, but book tours at distilleries ahead of your trip.

We stayed in Frankfort for the distilleries in the area. We had a wonderful time. People were lovely, there was more than enough to do, and Frankfort is located between Louisville and Lexington, so a great location for the area. Lots of good food options, beautiful scenery. Overall, I would love to return to Frankfort.

Shelbyville doesn’t have many activities or restaurants.

Shelbyville doesn’t have many activities or restaurants. We stayed at the Best Western at exit 32 off 64 west. Only fast food restaurants and Waffle House for food. We did get a good pizza at Jeptha Creed Distillery at this exit.

The Stave restaurant near Woodford Reserve is 'dive delicious' with fantastic southern food and a screened in porch. Ask for Wendy. Amsden coffee is good. Proximity of Versailles to the Kentucky Castle, spectacular horse farms, distilleries and both Lexington, and Frankfort is perfect.

Well with covid, not many food places open and lines of course were long. The whole eating area in the outlet mall was closed except a pizza and chicken place. But we had fun with what little time we did have. It is horse country out there and would love to see it when all green with horses out. Beautiful place

We stayed in Harrodsburg specifically to see my Granddaughter who is in training in the Kimme Program. We were only a few miles from The Farm she is in training with which made it very handy to spend time with her. We now wish we had stayed longer due to the beauty of the area.

Easy to drive to all areas of interest - including downtown Very friendly staff in all restaurants and visitor sites. Louisville Slugger and Churchill Downs had terrific tours. The Tavern , Captain's Quarters and Harry's all had excellent food and service.
