The facilities and staff were exceptional. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Everything is done to perfection. Any special requests are completed with attention to detail. Peter was awesome and made the surprise romantic dinner I arranged in advance even more special with the way he assisted us through the evening. The entire Zanzibella team really make it a amazing experience from the moment you arrive and even after my departure they followed up to ensure I reached the airport safely and it didn't end there, they checked in when I landed back home to check if I arrived safely. Big shout out, to Peter, Maiko, Helen and Meshack. It was truly an amazing stay with the Hotel and Team for making our Honeymoon Perfect. Highly recommend anyone going to Zanzibar to go to Zanzibella.

We liked everything, the staff, the pool area and especialy the pets (a dog and 2 cute cats). Very homy vibe and beautifuly decorated. The owner was great and very helpfull. It is an oasis of peace and quiet in Nungwi. We loved it and we recomend it to everyone.

Everything was very beautiful. Amazing hotel amazing staff delicious food nice vibe. In the beginning, l was a bit hesitant to book since there weren’t any reviews yet, the hotel just opened. But when l arrived, l was pleasently suprised. The hotel is fantastic and everything loka just köke the photos. The rooms are big, with comfortable beds and seaview. Breakfast was great and dinner was very delicious. They have good cocktails, strong WiFİ, so l could update my socials. The staff is friendly, good service. This place is a true gem for anyone looking for beachfront hotel that’s slightly away from hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!

Everything exellent, service always with smile from staff, beds are so confortable, very fast wifi, spotless clean, garden full of beatiful plants and trees, aircon working perfect, i can recommend to everybody come and stay have wonderfull experience. Also breakfast and dinner was really teasty. Another plus they arrange all kind of tour and transports really good prices for island, you dont have to go shop around, thank you guys make my stay wonderfull with beatiful memories. Bu the way they also have tanzanian music and dance show i come a cross in hotel was amazing too

I paid cash on arrival for 11 nights.The hut was very hot and I wanted to leave the next day, but he would not refund me. I contacted booking.com 2 times, but never heard from them, so I was stuck there. The owner is a preacher and has a congregation just behind the huts, so there is a lot of noice many mornings and evenings and in between someone is practising the piano and he is not good.

The place very unique like you are in a movie, refreshing to see how they lived in the 1800 and 1900, the environment is clean, the only thing I didn't like is that the hotel on the beach, released all the dirty water into the sea

Paje Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. Long, wide, and naturally wild, with white sand, turquoise water, and endless space to breathe. The tides create constantly changing scenery, and the beach never feels crowded. Perfect for long walks, swimming at the right tide, and watching kitesurfers. Relaxed, authentic, and unspoiled — a place you want to return to.

Jambiani Beach is one of the most beautiful and authentic beaches in Zanzibar. Long stretches of soft white sand, calm turquoise waters, and a peaceful rhythm shaped by the tides create a place that feels untouched and timeless. Life here moves slowly — fishermen at dawn, women collecting seaweed, gentle evenings painted by the sunset. It is quiet, spacious, and deeply relaxing, yet full of character and soul. Perfect for long walks, swimming at high tide, and simply being present. Jambiani is not about crowds or noise — it is about beauty, simplicity, and harmony with nature. Kiwengwa is an amazing place , only annoying this is the...

Kiwengwa is an amazing place , only annoying this is the amount of African people that hassle you on the beach - men dressed as masi that are not from the the masi Maru tribe ( pretending they are ) and annoying you when you trying to enjoy a peaceful walk it is over bearing and no one wants that on their holiday - was most beaches in Zanzibar !!

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to...

Kendwa beach was definitely the best beach compared to Nungwi, especially the south part. Even in low tide it was easy to take a swim. Also the beach here is wider and feel less crowded. As on the complete stretch there were many people trying to sell you stuff but on the south part not so many ”permanent” sales people other than the ones having sheds. The Maasai roaming around are friendly but just say no with a smile and most will not be persistent in their effort to sell you something..

Matemwe is a perfect destination for anyone who wants peace...

Matemwe is a perfect destination for anyone who wants peace and quiet, but still has access to great activities. You can easily arrange dolphin watching and swimming tours – look for Captain Lucho, he helped us with everything and made the experience amazing. A beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you
