What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

The first impression was the staff, really smiley and friendly Than they made our stay even more special by upgrading our room as we were celebrating our honeymoon, we enter and we see the bed full of flowers and the aircon on so we would feel a cold air from the extreme heat outside The pool area was so cosy and well designed The breakfast was excellent and one of the best breakfast buffet I've ever experienced This hotel and the staff know hospitality and make the guest feel special The restaurant had amazing chefs and the sunset views from the restaurant are magical

Everything was just great. The staff takes the biggest prize, they were always so kind, helpful and happy! Everything we needed they immediately helped us with: transport, safari, tours, last minute requests, you name it! The location is amazing as it is in the center of everything worth seeing, and just a few min walk to the boats and short ride to the airport. Amazing breakfast buffet with included a lot of local fruits and treats. We had dinner and lunch in the hotel several times and everything we ate was delicious. We used the pool a lot also, it was so nice always! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the overall colonial vibe of the hotel made you feel like you were in a museum. Super super recommend this!
