What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

The staff at reception was very good and helpful. The whole staff at the hotel were all very nice. The breakfast was huge and delicious. The pool was clean and they also allowed you to use the pool while waiting for your flight. Also had showers to use as well which was a big help before a flight.

Tembo House has a very good location, near the seaside and very close to the Freddie Mercury museum! It has a private access to the beach with confortable seats. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant: amazing! Also, the staff organized for us some very nice tours. We really loved our relaxing staying at this hotel!

It is very comfy, the beds are big, breakfast is perfect (you can order an omelette and chef would prepare it in front of you) , very good location (5min walk to the beach, 3min walk to Freddie Mercury’s museum) . The staff is very helpful and taxi to the airport is between 15-20USD.

I liked that the property is within the town itself. It is very easy to get to the places that I wanted to visit from my accommodation. The place has a very rustic feel to it and that it is adorned with Swahili elements. Very clean, peaceful and the inner courtyard allows privacy despite being near the port. The room I had was also nice although a little bit tiny for my preference but nonetheless it was more than enough to provide me space, comfort and privacy. I was very pleased with the breakfast they had. I enjoyed it a lot.

Chuini is a little piece of heaven if you want to chill relax and have a good cocktail admiring the sunset. The Staff is amazing Nacharo,Hapiness,Esther Zabron were always smiling and happy to do everything they can do to make you happy.( and all the people around too) thank you to all of them and also the manager Jelena. They can organize transfer and excursion breakfast and restaurant is nice and tasty A Santé everybody

Prime location on beach and easy walking distance to waterfront and lanes of Stone Town and restaurants. Staff really helpful organising taxis and trips. Sunsets impressive, lots of local dhows and fishing boats pass the front of the hotel. Building has lots of character.

Enjoyed the overall 'happy' atmosphere that is all around at Stone Town, you feel perfectly safe, everybody is friendly, nobody is harassing you. Typically enjoyed walking through the narrow streets of Stone Town, sniffing up all kinds of scents.

Zanzibar is an amazing destination with beautiful beaches, friendly people, and a rich culture. Stone Town is full of history and character, and the spice farms, sandbanks, and snorkeling trips make the experience unforgettable. The food is delicious, especially the seafood, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I highly recommend visiting Zanzibar for anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation.
