We were very impressed by Hotel Amaranth. The hotel is very close to the Mbezi bus station which was extremely convenient for our journey to the Usambara Mountains. The hotel kindly reserved our bus tickets for us, provided a free bus transfer to the station and prepared us all a packed breakfast to take with us, even though our bus was at 5:30am! The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the on-site restaurant was lovely.

keys were there on arrival , good communication on the way and on arrival. Very nice, spacious, clean place . Hot water and wifi n fridge all working perfectly as was the flat screen tv . i was only there one day but I couldnt fault the place. 10 out of 10 from me. Athough its far from the road , the compound is spacious with enough greenery to be comfortable and sit in the compound outside the house . Also excellent value for money. Its one of the best places ive stayed in Dar if not the best for a budget apartment . The only reason i didnt give a score of 15 , is that 10 is the maximum .

They made us feel as if it was our second home! So helpful with advice and directions and recommendations. Very very quick with responses and they were so patient with our many questions and calls! Also, the place is big and very comfortable, with all a person could need.
