The staff were so welcoming and the bento boxes we had on arrival were excellent value for money and really delicious. Our room (for four) was huge, very well designed and incredibly comfortable.

It was very clean and well maintained. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was very strong and the TV had many channels. The host was very warm, welcoming, diligent, friendly, and helpful. There is a great night market and many stores nearby.

The homestay owners were really helpful and went above and beyond in terms of service! They fetched us to and fro several places at no additional charge (such as Fenqihu, Shizhuo town area) and even sent our luggage to our hotel in Alishan so we could start hiking immediately upon arriving at the recreation park. They provided recommendations for sunrise/sunset viewpoints in Shizhuo and activities in Alishan upon check-in. They can even drive you up to the sunrise/sunset viewpoint located along an uphill hiking trail, but we didn't take up the offer. The owners are happy to sit down with you for a tea-drinking session and share about their tea farming, way of life, and local F&B recommendations - that's how we ended up visiting Zou Coffee (zouzhouyuan), a cafe selling self-grown award-winning coffee. The owners also painstakingly prepared breakfast and dinner (costs NTD350 per person) and try to change up the menu every time. It's comforting and wholesome home-cooked food. Overall, we were really impressed by their generosity and friendliness!

Perfectly located just up of Shizhuo, in the tea fields and right at the start of the trails. The owner is very nice and grows tea which we had the chance to taste. The rooms are nice, and the bathroom is good. The place is quiet and the view is amazing.
