A memorable stay. The obvious highlight was being greeted by our host with a traditional Taroko song; he could not have been more kind or helpful. Our room was perfect and we started each day with a lovely breakfast (even when we needed to have it at 6.30). It was the best accommodation we have had in more than two weeks in Taiwan and was great value for money and a perfect base from which to explore the Taroko Gorge.

Lisa and Boya are the nicest people I have ever met in a home stay. Because the hotel is a bit out of town, Boya brings his guests to a restaurant and picks them up again after dinner. I was there with my (adult) daughter and there were 2 other couples. The first night, Boya took all of us for a small trip to explain the taroko people and their culture. After that, Lisa organised a little DIY bracelet making, all free of charge. If you want to go to the Taroko Gorge or Qingshui cliffs, then the location is great, and much closer than Hualien City.

Overlooking Pacific Ocean and Taroko Valley, Li Wu Zuo Cun offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi access in Hualien. It features a large garden. Rooms here are all air-conditioned.

All of the staff was amazing and helped us get all around town which was a huge assistance! They even found a fantastic restaurant for dinner which was opened in the more quiet season. I would recommend this stay to anyone who has been to taroko and wants to do some stand up paddle boarding!

The host is such an amazing person. Very kind and ready to help you in any situation. We've managed to discuss a bit through Google traduction as we are not speaking Chinese and he couldn't speak English. The house is very well located between Hualien and Taroko. The house is surrounded by the nature. The room was spacious and confortables. We highly recommend this place! Thanks again.

Room is big and spacious and clean but it is not modern. Need to climb stairs to room. Breakfast was bun, jam, banana glutinous rice and tea. Owner is two nice friendly old couple of Taroko tribe in their seventies. They are really courteous and friendly and told us about their Taroko life. The husband is a Pastor. The wife dress up my daughter in Taroko tribe costumes for us to have photo shoots. We had a nice time chatting with them over breakfast. Place is just outside Taroko National Park. Nice and cheap food can be found in restaurants nearby. The wife recommended a good and cheap eating place for dinner. Parking is free.
