We had a wonderful stay! The suite was very clean, spacious, and had a stunning sea view. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. The location was perfect — just a short walk from the center and all the restaurants. The common was really nice & clean too. Parking on the street was easy to find, and the breakfast was delicious. We’d definitely love to come back!

We originally booked a week but extended our stay for longer it was that perfect. Such a wonderful place to stay with kind care and attention from all the staff. We stayed in the King Suite which had amazing views across the sea, watching the sun set every night. Our room felt like home and the bed was so comfortable - it's rare to sleep this good. We went swimming every day in the heated pool. We also loved the breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had. Overall we can't recommend Payava Hotel enough, I think we've found our new winter get away and hope to stay again very soon.

Incredible and unique boutique hotel, the room was stunning, we were upgraded, which was a lovely surprise! 360 views of the Mediterranean, walking distance to beach clubs, beautiful gardens, and pool areas. The Hotel itself is very tranquil, we didn't want to leave! We enjoyed staying a little bit out of Kalkan town (which can be busy and touristy), enjoying the hills and more authentic surrounds. It is an easy taxi ride into town which was perfect for dinner options. What sets this property apart is the attention to detail, the staff are all excellent, we especially enjoyed having drinks and chatting with the staff at the cocktail bar. The breakfast is next level, a HUGE selection, we loved the Fidanka walnut and tahini pastry - specialty of the house.

I have been coming to kalkan for years, ı can say that Saray Suites is the best hotel in Kalkan. I had a wonderful experience at the Saray Suites. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! They have a restaurant called ''THE ONE'' and it has a magnificent SeaView terrace. We had a great dinner at the restaurant. Thank you! I Will recommend to my friends.

We booked The Mediteran based off a recommendation, and we were not disappointed. This is definitely one of our favourite hotels ever. The views are stunning from the room, the pool, the bar and restaurant. The rooms have everything you need with a comfy bed but the best attribute of this hotel is the staff. The staff are truly incredible, nothing is too much - recommendations, help booking taxis, or just a good chat! Fatih, Mami and Mamut were absolutely top guys and it felt like we were leaving friends at the end of our stay. We're already working out when we can visit next. Thanks for everything you did for us! I like how the blue and straight paint is used out side the building, which makes the building very distinguishable and stands out amongst other hotels. The balconies were unique as they were not to small not to large. The square was unique with the terrace on the top of the building.

Kalkan is a kind of Hidden Gem.

Kalkan is a kind of Hidden Gem. There are countless taste stops. There are miscellaneous hotels and pensions to suit every budget. İt is possible to reach from anywhere with various means. Kalkan has a wonderful and clean sea. There are daily boat tours to the surrounding bays and beaches. Very affordable shopping at the weekly local bazaar on Thursdays. The town is full of bars and restaurants.

Villa was great for us.

Villa was great for us. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. Pool cold but good size. Shops locally a bit limited but bakery good, larger supermarket , with wine, short drive away (10 mins). Great restaurant south of Islamlar with a lovely family running it and it saves a trip into Kalkan. Kalkan was not too busy but we were early in the season. Patara a good visit (sandy beach and very good ruins to explore) but pricey so go for the day. Good sandy/light shingle beach at Kaputas (50 lire admission), but a bit wavy when we went so not suitable for non swimmers on a windy day.Parking here also limited so aim to go early or late. Canyon at Saklikent great and cheap but take water shoes although they are available there.

Kalkan is a great location for those who enjoy good food and the sea. Almost everyone can speak English and it caters for everyone. A great place for foodies!! Most villas have pools so it’s nice to chill back at the villa but also head out to the beaches. The prices are not Turkish prices which is a shame so be prepared to pay home (UK) prices but with a sea view and good service. It’s easy enough to jump in a taxi and get to the centre so it doesn’t matter if you stay either side of Kalkan. If you want to head a bit further out, Kekova (Sunken City) is just over an hour, Patara Beach is about 20 mins and Kas is lovely to walk around or catch a day trip to one of the Greek Islands. There are a number of beach clubs across Kalkan that vary in service and price but would recommend Zest and Kalamar Beach Club. Both offer very different experiences but a nice way to spend a day. Boat tours are a nice way of getting away for the day too with daily boat trips available both privately and as joint groups. I would highly recommend doing a private trip if there are 6 or more of you.

Prices are very high for beach clubs /sun loungers etc., considering that there are no beaches the prices should be more competitive . A family of 4 can easily spend £60 to access facilities. Also Kalkan is mainly visited by British thus meaning that some of more authentic Turkish atmosphere can get lost. Moreover it is disappointing to see prices in £ - why do tourists from others part of the world need to pay in £ ?
