The place is beautifully furnished and meticulously cared for in every detail with high-level services and very friendly staff. For us, it was the perfect place to spend the holidays to detox from the routine. We had fantastic breakfasts, dinners, drinks, beautiful sunsets and a sweet cat around. All top-notch. I enjoyed my stay very much with Olivier and his lovely wife. The breakfast is a must, it is very healthy and super tasty, and one of the best coffees on the island. Overall one of the best locations, to the beach is only 300 meter and the 7 Eleven and bars are just some minutes by foot. The rooms were super clean and had everything the traveller desires, also good for families, I felt super safe there with Olivier and his staff.

I loved this place so much. Driving the last 200 meters up to Alisa’s from the main tarmac road brought you through local area with hens, children and lastly at the very end of the road to the garden of Eden, that Alisa and her husbond David had created with outmost care and imminent taste for beauty and tranquility. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, besides my own back home. The peacefulness at Alisa’s was only enhanced by the occasional hens, hornbills and other birds, but besides these natural sounds, Alisa was quiet and totally peaceful. Now with WiFi, possible to rent their scooter, they can arrange all kinds of tickets, including shuttle to Bangkok or the airport with pickup directly at Alisa’s. I visited all the beaches at Koh Chang, and besides Klong Kloi at the very south, then Kai Bai beach had a secluded and intimate charm, that the other beaches could not match. Watching the bathing elephants in the morning was an experience of delight, seeing how much these great creates enjoyed the refreshment. Alisa’s is totally new and not only spotless, but also in very delicate and soothing colors. David and Alisa kept a discretion to my second daily visitors, and always made sure to be indoor when I came home accompanied. The only minor little inconvenience, is that I had to drive 3-4 minutes in the morning to reach Kai Bai beach for a morning swim, but the reward was instant, almost entirely alone on this beautiful beach with its tranquil and warm water.

If you are only coming to Koh Chang for one thing, you should come to stay a night at Drifters Anchor. The views are clearly the best we have had anywhere on the island. Watching the sunset from your balcony while having an amazing meal is nothing short of spectacular. Last but not least Ben is the friendliest host you can think of, he even accompanied us to an awesome night out. Definitely recommended.

Our room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. We are vegan and staff went out of their way to provide us with delicious options at the breakfast buffet everyday. The pool is amazing and the resort is in lovely condition from the grounds to the waterfront loungers! Couldn’t recommend Awa Resort more enthusiastically! We initially booked two weeks and stayed on for a third week. Such a relaxing stay. Special thanks to resort manager Katie and chef Wat. One note is that the waterfront is not really small child friendly. Swimmers enter the ocean from steps that lead directly into the warm ocean. There is, however, a very large shallow area for young children to safely play at the pool.

my 2nd time to visit this hotel, the hotel name was "sea view" when we first visit, i love the view from this hotel, especially from the breakfast restaurant, i also love the breakfast because they have the coconut pancake.... this time we chose the renovated room type, room is very fresh and clean, cool design. enjoy the activity at this hotel, especially kayak to the small island. this time we saw some african chicken in the hotel which is fun, the villa is also very new and nice designed. this hotel have 2-3 public pools, but i only use the main pool near by the beach, i love this hotel have their own vegetable garden and nursery, of course the tramcar.... so much fun....

Stunning property, beautiful rooms! We had so much space, lovely balcony overlooking the pool and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was great and all the staff go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing stay. Stunning beach, good hotel food but also very close to lots of local places. Short walk to busy bar areas and amenities etc. Hotel has lots of drinks deals on which we loved and they made excellent cocktails! Could not recommend enough!

Great staff, great beach, great pool! Room was bright and very private, with a nice patio and hammock (mind the mozzies!) Nothing available outside the resort, but that didn't matter because the restaurant served delicious food at reasonable prices. Watersports equipment rental was really cheap. It was also nice of them to pick us up from our previous resort at no cost since there's no public transport on Koh Kood and the island is huge.

Beautiful property with a nice piece of beach. There is an ocean side and hillside, so double check which you prefer. All the pools were amazing and clean. Recommend the rooftop pool for sunset. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. The staff are top notch. I recommend staying here.

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could...

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

The boat Trip was Nice and good Service on the Piers. The Transport to Rest Sea Resort needs one Hour and Maybe Not everybody Like this. But the Location was Nice. Er don‘t know in other time. We was in end of raining Season The Restaurant Noochy on the Island is a Nice Fish Restaurant

Beautiful island, very chill seclude, not too much touristic, but has everything you need. Cute cafes, a lot of amazing restaurants, quiet and pristine beaches. You can also take a boat to Koh Kham, it’s beautiful! Very easy, ticket only 350 baht.

There just isn't very much to do.

There just isn't very much to do. We needed a night stopover before going to the island and our hotel was nice. Had a tasty pad-thai from the one place that was open and a couple of beers from a very nice bar next to a May-Thai gym. The few streets around the river are lovely and you do get the sense that you're suddenly away from all the tourists and in real Thailand. It is also extremely hot so not particularly pleasant to walk around either. At 8pm everything was shut down, including the night market.

I've been to kie bae, koh chang many times since 2006 and enjoyed most of the time . This time however I would give it 3 out of 10. Apart from it been too commercialised, it is very dirty. Hope it gets cleaner for the future.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem.

Koh Kood is a genuine hidden gem. The tropical beaches have crystal clear water and there are some great snorkeling spots if you look hard enough. Make sure you get down to The Fisherman Hut and mention Whimsical Tricycle to the owner, Tom. He will know what you mean. Enjoy! But keep it secret. Keep it safe.

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.

Make sure you stay in town.

Make sure you stay in town. There is no night life, but Trat has great food and a wonderful market. Getting around Trat is not easy, you will have to walk. There are moto taxis but not always where you need them.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday.

Koh Chang is a lovely island for holiday. Roads are trecherous to drive, but the views are stunning. Beachfront resort with a nice pool, you have all you need! Some wonderful seafood buffets to uncover and a visit to one of the elephant camps will satisfy your urge to explore.

We already went twice.

We already went twice. It is my favourite island in Thailand. Easy to reach from Bangkok and very good value! Most beautiful nature and quiet. An adventure to bike around the island. Excellent seafood!
