A unique, very well designed treehouse property. Really enjoyed the space and being in nature and in a modern, new space. Also, the staff were amazing. Zaw especially was very helpful in getting us a scooter and washing done etc.

Spacious, clean room. Well equipped with everything we needed. Amazing location! Great coffee and cakes downstairs (opens at noon)! When people write, that there is a noise from the outside - yes it is true, but look at where you are staying. It should be no surprise to anyone then. And they always stopped around midnight.

The owners give you personal attention. They asked what your interested are and give you directions on where to go , where to park and where to eat. They spoke French and English. There were no communication barriers to deal with. They helped us with transportation. They have scooters for rent on site and serve breakfast and dinner if you wish for a reasonable price. For a new business they certainly have it dialed in. We will be back.

This place is amazing, would definitely recommend staying here. Even if you don't want to fish, it has everything you would want. It has a lovely swimming pool, the rooms are spacious and clean. The food is really good and not expensive, good portion size and always nice and hot. The staff were amazing and always so very helpful. We did book 3 nights then stayed 5, we stayed in all 3 different rooms they had on site and can't fault them in anyway. We will definitely be going back and this place deserves more then 5 Star's, your stay here is just amazing and they will do everything to make sure your stay is complete. Chris & Tom are both very happy to help with anything you require, even running you round to a shop as no Grab available. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time ever thank you 🫶

I appreciated the thoughtfulness in assigning a Japanese-speaking person to my case. That person was very kind and arranged everything for us, from transportation to and from the full moon party. I also liked the fact that we were able to take room charges without needing to pay cash for everything in the resort. If you are staying here, you should always book the hotel's own speedboat. We took a other boat when we came and it was the worst because it was so far away. We took a private boat on the way back and it was much shorter. The information from the hotel will come when you make a reservation, so make your reservation there.

This has been the most incredible stay I have ever experienced. Soooo luxurious! I did not even dream about. First of all, the staff is super super kind. The restaurant Manager and restaurant service was doing so many nice things to make us happy. The food was delicious, many options to choose from. The villa was stunning, so clean! Cleaning was twice a day, in the evening we were served with a tea. The hotel took care also of mosquitoes every evening. Thank you so much to all of you! We were crying when we were leaving. We feel truly pampered by your service.

Fantastic wide pool and pool deck. Resort perfectly located very very close to night market and biggest shopping center. This resort is re-opening or re-starting and has fantastic potential. We have really enjoyed our spontaneous 2 nights stay and would have stayed longer if our holiday would have been longer. Recommended!

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in...

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in October. My husband and daughter had some of the best scuba diving experiences and they would definitely love to go back and do more dives (yet there are so many other places to go and see....). We stayed in the southeast for the first part of the trip, and found that to be a bit secluded - great resort, but a little too isolated and cut off for us overall. The second half we stayed in Sairee Beach area and it was amazing! So much going on and great restaurants and sunset views at your fingertips. We had wanted to rent scooters to explore the island more, but after seeing the condition of the roads (very steep and sharp turns), and so many people with "Thailand tattoos" from road rash, we decided against it, so we didn't get to see as much as we'd hoped. Maybe next time....

I read a lot of reviews about the amazing beaches of Koh Samui. I tried many of them and I can tell with confidence that Chaweng was the best by miles. I was based in Chaweng and I though to check the other beaches. I walked all over Lamai, which is very panoramic, but there is a constant stink wherever you go and the beach inside has a lot of corals/rocks that will probably hurt your feet. Crystal Bay was tiny, not comfortable because of the corals and overcrowded. I didnt see Fisherman Village beach while the others on the east side looked dirty. Choose Chaweng

Lamai is for those who like things to be bit slow and quiet. You will do everything that is possible on the Island in less than 4 days, after that you either enjoy the sun, pool, beach or numerous cocktail places. It's at bay s you wont have to worry yourself about natural disasters such as Tsunami.

We went to visit a friend who recently moved there.

We went to visit a friend who recently moved there. It is not really a tourist town. We went to the Mangrove Forest and it was run down and unimpressive. The Saturday Market was underwhelming. The highlight was the view from "the hill". Surat Thani is what it is... a large city that gives you access to Koh Samui and a city for locals.

During Full Moon week, the atmosphere gets wild—every venue competes with fire shows and loud music, creating a chaotic but energetic vibe. I imagine the off-season must be much more relaxing, though I haven’t experienced it myself. Personally, I found the Full Moon Party a bit disappointing, though that might be due to my expectations. I'm 40+, and I was hoping for a more organized event with better music and a diverse crowd—people of all ages from different parts of the world. Instead, it felt more like a chaotic gathering of mostly very young partygoers (early 20s), primarily from England, Germany, and Denmark, whose main focus seemed to be drinking and drugs. In November 2025, the original party was canceled due to the passing of the King’s mother, so I can’t speak to the usual experience.

We stayed over on Ban Tai, which was quieter with a beautiful sandy beach, almost no one around. I got a massage by the water with only the sound of the crashing waves which was the highlight on my trip. Great for families and good food all around.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island...

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island which was really good, our tour guide told us loads, this also helped us tick lots of sightseeing of our list in less than a day. We were staying a short walk away from fisherman's village which was perfect because it was quiet but not too far to get a grab to Chaweng beach that we could swim in. Perfect location if you don’t want to be too close to the party.

The night life - bars, cafés, markets, and I enjoyed getting a massage after all the walking around. There are many massage parlors and massages are so affordable here. Also, the service at the massage parlors is very good.
