Great property 10 mins away from the center. If you don’t like noise, this is a good place to relax. Costs 85-120 thb with bolt/grab to go to/from the center. The hotel is very nice, they have a lot of rules (all printed in your room) and they hold 500 thb till the end of your trip to ensure you don’t loose the key from the door. The service is great, overly polite. The pool is long enough to do some strokes and exercise. The bed is super comfy, everything you need is in the room. All brand new and super clean. They do not offer coffee or anything else to drink or eat so you need to go on the other street to buy coffee. They open at 8.00 AM. Breakfast I have no idea where you can serve, we made some sandwiches from BigC who is next door.

The manager, cooks, and cleaners here are all lovely, hardworking people. We stayed here for a few nights over Xmas, and although a little further out, it's a great location, only a few minutes away from the action. The beds are super comfy, the food is good, and the orange juice shakes are delicious. We would definitely return.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. From the moment we walked in, the staff were so friendly and genuinely happy we were there. Our room was beautiful and we appreciated the Thai decor and architecture. The breakfast is spectacular! I loved the variety. The live music at dinner time on the weekend was a nice touch. We enjoyed the relative seclusion, the fantastic swimming pool, the easy access to the beach, and the very comfortable beds! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Rooms were excellent. Clean and good sized with wonderful, comfy beds and a pillow menu provided. There were beautiful and well-maintained gardens all around the property, with good privacy provided by the vegetation, even though there were tall condos/hotel buildings on both sides of the property, otherwise. Breakfast was quite okay, as well. The staff was really friendly and kind, and looked well after us. Hotel location was great, as it was right on the beach, as well as within a 1km walk to Tamarind Market, which had excellent local food available on the cheap at evening time (Thursdays to Sundays 5-11pm). The hotel pool was good, but on the small side, however, the jacuzzi area was the biggest I'd seen anywhere, and the proximity to the sea meant that pool size didn't really matter either. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at The Rock, and felt it was fully worth the price when taking into account the excellent quality of the rooms and service.

Superb service! Staff welcomed us from outside the property and walked us in. We were served butterfly pea tea during check-in. Staff proficient in English so it was very easy to communicate. Room was clean, spacious, view was amazing. They have free yoga classes on Saturday mornings as well, and they provide yoga attire, mats, slippers and a beach bag in the wardrobe. Many dogs on the property also but they’re friendly and don’t cause any problems. They play on the beach so it’s nice to watch.

The best part of Hua Hin was that it was not at all touristy...

The best part of Hua Hin was that it was not at all touristy. There were tourists but unlike other places in this part of the world, this place is quiet, laidback. It has got all the facilities that a tourist may need. We enjoyed our time in the beach. Getting around in a Tuktuk is easy in Hua Hin. Overall it's a nice getaway from the busy Bangkok.

This place is a gem.

This place is a gem. We visited in early November and were lucky to witness the Loy Krathong Festival. It seems to be slightly off the tourist route but it has everything we needed for a very memorable stay. There is a super weekend night market where you can try a variety of local food and snacks. There are a number of good coffee shops and restaurants serving local and western food. The temple on the hill is well worth visiting (the views are fabulous) as is the beach at Ao Manao. You can hire bicycles (50 baht per day) and cycle round the headland to the beautiful Kao Tha Mong Lai Forest Park, near Ao Noi. Altogether, Prachuap Khiri Kan is a really lovely place to visit.

Nice beach, some activities, Kajak, ATV, restaurant, massage places, some caves. Some hotels are specifically kids friendly. Good beach if you want to relax or for a family. Not really for party people, only if you bring everyone for your party yourself. Also bring Moskito spray!

You will need transportation—a motor bike or car—to explore the area. We were able to rent a motorbike through Palm Pran Resort. The roads are calm and navigation was easy. It was a fun way to explore the beaches and forest parks.

Beautiful beach when weather right.

Beautiful beach when weather right. Lots of eateries/restaurants and resort beachside. Cabanas and seating areas on beach side, therefore plenty of seating space. Locals are friendly. Definitely no shortage of 711's. Can't wait to return, only 2 hour drive from Hua Hin. There is a temple on top of mountain easy drive up there, unfortunately did not make it this trip but definitely make it the first stop next time. Also a fishing port. Peaceful place to chill unlike the bigger towns.

The beachwork construction is a major problem at the moment. This may continue until the high season. There are almost no places to eat and the convenience store would not change a 1000 baht note. The beach is dirty compared to others in Prachuap.

It's ok BUT........

It's ok BUT........Owner needs to invest on better toilet seat, that fits,.Better shower, and a bin in the rooms for rubbish. 2 rooms had none. Plus no glasses . Expected more Pond outside is nice but the grounds of the hotel has rubbish n left over bottles n cans in it. Wifi is poor, drops in and out. Garden needs cleaning n pruning. Not too much to ask for , is it ? It's clear the owner has not invested in the rooms and gardens upkeep which is a shame.

We didn't really venture too far, staying withing 2/3km of the hotel, and only went out for something to eat. There is certainly more to Hua Hin that we saw but we had planned this portion of the holiday for relaxing. From what we saw the city is easy to get around (walk and taxis), plenty of options to eat and drink (especially local food) and safe. It is on the quite side but that's what we were looking.

Prachuap is a delightful Thai town.

Prachuap is a delightful Thai town. The esplanade along the coast is super for walking, running, cycling. Ao Manao Bay is fantastic for chilling in a beach chair, zipping on a banana boat, or eating good Thai food. The weekend market has many different types of food and cheap clothes and accessories. There are also a couple of quality non Thai restaurants in the town, back from the coast and some good coffee shops. The temple on the hilltop is worth walking up, except for the monkeys. Ao Noi Bay and cave temple is really good too. Lots to see and do in Prachuap.

Arrive at Lungcha homestay in the afternoon.

Arrive at Lungcha homestay in the afternoon. Make a boat trip at sunset (starting point directly in front of the homestay). The lake with thousands of lotus flowers and birds is phantastic. They offer a 150.- baht dinner in Thai style (a bit oily, but good and plenty). Next morning do another sunrise trip: it is very different, because the light is different, there are more birds, the lotus flowers are open, the atmosphere is just magic. Costs 500,- baht for the boat (takes up to four people). Breakfast at Lungcha included and check out. There is not much to do or see near the homestay, perhaps you can stroll to the Ranger IV station in about 20 min, there is a small stripe of beach and access to the lake.
