I genuinely appreciate the effort of the staff for the surprise card and gift for my partner's birthday. Shout out to all the amazing staff of Amethyst Hotel. You guys did a very good job! My partner and I loved how welcoming everyone in the hotel, always with smile and willing to help. We love our room and most importantly the amazing bathtub. Rooms are spotless, very clean and very cozy. Looks like a very brand new room. The rooftop swimming pool was very good place to relax. The location is walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. Overall, we are very pleased in everything. Thank you and we highly recommend this hotel.

The whole resort is kept fantastically well. Maintenance is superb. (and there is what shortens at most hotels in Thailand) The staff (reception, roommaids, concierges, waitresses at breakfast etc.) is extremely helpful and friendly, and for a regular guest (as I am) they really will go the extra mile. Breakfast is second to none...!!

Tip the pool boy and he will really look after you. we had the one wearing a large cowboy hat. main restaurant has excellent food with a good selection. didnt do the breakfast buffet but it sure was busy. room cleaning crew did a great job daily. all staff were friendly and smiling and greeted you each time. taxi with valet was easy and seamless.

the property is well maintained and well decorated, room are spacious and clean, everything was working perfectly. breakfast is excellent, with a mix of asian a continental choices. it is a bit outside, but for us was a plus, since it was nice and quite, however if you want you can grab a bike and within 5 minutes you can teach many restaurants and groceries shops

If you went there for the girlie bars 10 out of 10. Walking street was disappointing from the street. The baht busses were good but you had to plan your trip according to the direction the buses went. Plenty of good food places at reasonable prices. Shopping centres catered for expensive tastes.

Beaches are filled with litter and the water is murky and small areas designated for swimming. Ok to sunbathe and relax but not good for swimming. Prices have gone up significantly as compared to my previous two visits. Massage parlors have changed into these factory cutter style shops with massage chairs next to one another, bright lights, no privacy, no way to relax. Locals seemed to have “tourist-fatigue” much more impatient and money driven. Food was great as usual, but less fresh seafood choices available.

Jomtien Beach is a fantastic destination that perfectly balances relaxation with plenty of activity. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys an active beach vacation! ✅ The Good: Activities & Convenience The beach is a vibrant hub of activity, offering something for everyone looking to get moving or just enjoy the atmosphere: Great for Exercise: The long stretch of beach and promenade is perfect for a good walk or a morning jog. Seeing so many people out and exercising really adds a nice, energetic feel to the place. Sporting Fun: There are designated areas where people are regularly playing beach volleyball, which is fun to watch or even join in. In general, the beach caters well to casual sports activities. Family-Friendly Amenities: The kids' playground is a wonderful feature, giving families a safe and dedicated space for children to play and burn off some energy. Ultimate Convenience: You never have to go far for necessities. Across the road, you can easily find a great selection of good restaurants for any meal, and the ubiquitous 7/11 shops are there for quick drinks, snacks, and essentials. Overall, Jomtien offers a great combination of fitness, fun, and easy access to amenities, making it a very satisfying beach experience.

It was lovely there, definitely the nice part of Pattaya. Much quieter and more relaxing. If you prefer to be in amongst the hustle and bustle, you would probably prefer to stay in the city centre. Although it was a very short cheap uber or taxi/scooter ride to the city centre.

I like this area because it is a short distance to the hustle and bustle of Pattaya or Jomtien, but it is quieter and less expensive. If you're looking for a party atmosphere, this isn't it. But if you're looking for laid back bars and restaurants and affordable hotels and vacation rentals near the beach, it's great.

Plenty to do in the area, control of street dogs could be better. Golf, cycling, walking, bars, restaurants are in an abundance in the area, however you will need transport if you don't want to be booking taxis every time.

I liked being out of the city - even though it takes a while to get there. I like that I didn't have to go through security. It would have been nice to have actual numbers on the outside of the units (any of the village!) because the map location was for the unit in front of it. Thankfully the lady who designed and built the house also lives next to the unit and saw me. Took me in for a personal tour of the space - fantastic.

I have been to Pattaya many times.

I have been to Pattaya many times. The last three times was to obtain major dental treatment. I am impressed with the dentist and the dental services. Otherwise, Pattaya is gradually losing its magic. Local travel on Baht buses, Bolt, and Grab is very good value for money. Cheap clothes and footwear are finished. It's cheaper in K-Mart in Australia. Unless you buy street food, eating out is expensive. Drinks can be expensive in many venues, though not all. I went to bars ang go-go bars only and ate street food. Many local Thais looked unhappy. It's not the land of Smiles anymore. Too many little scams make Thailand irritating for tourists. No wonder people are going elsewhere. The bus services are hard to understand, especially at the North Road Bus Station. You need a proper website to explain the bus services.

It's a place that is full of go go bars and sex shows so be prepared to be approached on numerous occasions when you walk anywhere. This wasn't a place that I would choose to stay, but it could be what others are looking for. It was a short stop for us as we were island hopping so it was the perfect location for a night.

It's raining season in Thailand now.

It's raining season in Thailand now. Therefore, the sea's water on Jomtien Beach is not so clear but it is still available for swimming as well. By the way if you want to take a nap on the beach, you are recommended.
