We had the most incredible experience at this stunning hotel. Really didn’t want to leave! It was just as beautiful as the photos show. I thought staying on this side of the lake would not be as nice, but after going there I decided it’s the most beautiful park of Ban Rak Thai because the view is looking back at the town which is beautifully lit up at night. I really cannot express how much we loved this hotel and its location. The staff also were 5 star. They felt more like hosts than hotel staff. I’ll definitely be returning here.

Lovely space and location to hang out. I could stay here so much longer! I really loved the lobby, I felt like I was in a fancy hotel. The beds had curtains too so very private, and hot water/tea and biscuits available all the time. Staff were always smiling and kind. Very quiet and peaceful here.

If could give hotel 11 o/o 10 i would. Was gamble to spend 8 nts, but turned out better than expected. All facilities met requirements, incl. shower which properly hot + super powerful - very refreshing. Whole trip mix of pleasure & work so location ideal as quiet for report writing, etc. for employer in BKK. Lovely view over river Yuam. Restaurant 'Coriander in Redwood' couple of buildings up for great meals. Think it's owned by same company. Also excellent roti stand about 200m further up. Not sure when opens, possibly 17.30 hrs., but closes 20.30 hrs. Mae Sariang is maybe awkward to travel to but definitely worth effort. We broke journey to MS by overnighting in Mae Sot and then for return to BKK in Kamphaeng Phet.

This is truly the best resort in Pai- beautifully landscaped along the riverfront, offering a serene and relaxing environment. Our spotless room with the overall cleanliness of the property, made our stay even more comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and everything was just beyond expectations. It’s a very peaceful location but easy access to the walking street. I highly recommended it.

Much needed spot to relax on the MHS loop, good value for money and I think the photos on here don't do it justice really. It was way nicer than I was expecting and you get what you pay for. I live in Chiang Mai and have made many trips to Pai, some...

I live in Chiang Mai and have made many trips to Pai, some long and some short. It's easy to get to from Chiang Mai (about three hours in a minivan) but try to get a seat towards the front and middle if you suffer from travel sickness because the road there is full of twists and turns. For short stays Pai is a small wonderland – especially if you have your own transport (scooter or bicycle) that can be hired. There are numerous hot springs to soak in, a canyon to explore, viewpoints near and far that are excellent for sunrises and sunsets, and every night the main street through town becomes a Walking Street, lined on both sides with food, clothing and souvenir stands. A minimum three night stay with morning arrival and late afternoon departure is recommended.

Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages. Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.

It is a quaint little village that kinda looks fake because everything has been built for tourism around the lake. But it is pretty and a nice break from the heat. The road to get there has some very steep switchbacks. Not my favorite but you are rewarded with a picturesque charming town.

The area around is beautiful situated in the mountains. The roads bend and rise up and down with very little traffic. There are many local restaurants offering cheap local foods. A great place to stop while travelling around the area.

We stopped off at Khun Yuam as we had visited the yellow flower fields at Thung Bua Tong which are in flower in mid November. We were then on our way to Pia. We only stayed one night which was enough to see what the town had to offer.

I love Pai and have visited many times.

I love Pai and have visited many times. My favourite restaurants are Om Garden Cafe and Charlie and Lek's. I walked everywhere as I don't ride a scooter. Walking Street is always entertaining and I always feel safe. Best of all are the beautiful people of Pai who are friendly and gracious and always willing to help. For out of town tours, I used Pai Authentic Travel who are located next to Aya bus service on Walking Street. The Two Huts sunset tour and Pai Canyon are good short tours but they do many others further out of town.

It was worth the three hour trip from Pai on the most winding roads through the hills. Top tip - take a travel sickness pill. A small town that's geared up for a massive influx of visitors who on average only stay one night. Plenty of good restaurants and the 40 minute nightime trip around the lake is the highlight. Lots of good photo/video opportunities.

Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105...

Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105 between Mae Hong Song in the North, Mae Sot in the South and Hot/Chiang Mai to the East. Mae Sariang is for many an overnight stop from one of those places to one of those places, what does not gives Mae Sariang the attention it deserves. It is a great hub, for a good number of day trips into the mountain, to and along the Salaweng river and to a great number of viewpoints on relatively good paved roads and some dirt roads. It has conserved the old days charm of a slower Northern Thailand / Lana small town with enough bars, restaurants and coffee shops to fill a week. A good place to stay a bit longer and explore the hill tops, river villages and coffee plantations, before you are heading off to the next point.

Pai is the Gem of the North, a mix of great food, very kind Thai people, lots of cool spaces to motorbike to, lots to do, lush jungle forest everywhere..many very cool places to stay..so don't stay in one place..move around and see the awesome places to hang out. Elephants, River rafting, great food experiences..very very nice. 3 hours by mini van to Pai from Chiang Mai..I recommend AYA minivan service, way better than the ones at the bus station...same price..way better service and vans.

I booked a 4 pax room which has the best view in my opinion. I felt the facilities, the room space and cleanliness are beyond my expectation. What I don't like is the steel slope pavement to my accommodation.
